"Idaho Fish and Game Commissioner Blake Fischer reportedly has agreed to step down after sharing photos of himself in Africa posing with a "family of baboons" that he said he killed. In a resignation letter to Idaho Gov. C. L. "Butch" Otter, Reuters reports that "Fischer cited poor judgment in posting the images." "I recently made some poor judgments that resulted in sharing photos of a hunt in which I did not display an appropriate level of sportsmanship and respect for the animals I harvested," he reportedly wrote.

He boasted about using the baboon kills to introduce his wife to African game hunting. "First day she wanted to watch me, and 'get a feel' of Africa," he wrote in the e-mail. "So I shot a whole family of baboons. I think she got the idea quick.""

My buddy was taking chantix. He had to stop because he was having dreams about killing his family and friends. He was pretty freaked out about it, that was enough for me to stay away from it.
My stepdaughter had the same experience. She stopped taking it after about a month.

She said there was more death and violence in her dreams while on it than in all of her dreams in the past combined.

i just quit taking lexapro. it wasn't making me have weird dreams, but i was sleeping too much, and it wasn't making me any "happier"....it probably made me easier to get along with, but i could give a fuck if i'm easy to get along with.
if i'm taking meds, it better make me happy....if it's not, then what the fuck is the point? i don't yell at people? people can kiss my ass, if they leave me alone, i don't say a damn thing to them.

Been in Chicago dealing with my dad who has severe Alzheimers for the past week. Pretty brutal scene so it’s nice to be back in AK to clear my mind a bit. :joint:

I was drawn for a Roosevelt elk cow tag on Kodiak for next week and really I could not be more excited. We’re meat-not-horn hunters and these critters are bigger than Rocky Mtn elk, nearly as big as moose. My lady and a friend will join, we got 6ish days. Nine deer tags too. Just 3 days now to cook n prep, fingers crossed on the weather lol.

Since pix are better to look at than stories of dimentia, Here’s a nice young bull I got a few years ago in Montana’s Anaconda Pintler Wilderness. FCC12CCE-CAC9-4127-98E0-05A6E2587B7C.jpeg8FA71FE9-A92A-4A99-9EC5-0AE94B964AED.jpeg

Alzheimer's sucks! My father has it and it's a cruel way to end life.
My pops was an engineer for a living and a woodworker for hobby, very smart and talented. Now he can't even tell what time it is when looking at a clock..
If I start showing signs of it I'll guarantee you im gonna take a mouthful of sleeping pills on a cold night and take a walk out back....

Thanks for all the supportive words guys, you’re all very right about AD being hell, especially on loved ones. It’s quite a reminder that today is all we have, and we need to make the most of it. The deep connection I tap into while chasing protein around wild mountains helps me do exactly that... and reminds me of my place in the cycle of life, death, rebirth...

There's a link to ALZ fundraising site in my sig. Both my grandmother's, my mom, my wife's mom.

This next part gets real so if you dont want to see it stop reading now.

All I can say is have legal shit in line before a team of unscrupulous nursing home doctors swoops in a claims them as the property of a nursing home by having them declared mentally incompetent. That way when they decide to stop eating as a way to end their life they will not be forcibly resuscetated, placed in a coma with a feeding tube, brought back to health, just to do the same thing over again. Grandma was payroll, money in the bank.
