Big Outdoor Grow 2011

Well I think its about time I made a Grow Journal, so let me start by explaining what i plan to do. I plan to have an area out in the woods capable of holding 50 plants and a small 12x6 greenhouse for the clones and supplies.

I will start by clearing the land of all the brush and bushes, then i will start to dig all the soil up to make room for an irrigation system and the new soil that i will be putting down. The soil that I will be using is a mix of: Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Epsom salts, dolmite lime, kelp meal, worm castings, and perilite. As far as the irrigation system goes I might try to install a underground system that is wired up to a hydrometer (probably going to have to do some custom wiring and programming.) so it turns on when the moisture level drops and shuts off when it hits a designated peak.

I still need a way to keep insects away I heard somewhere that tomato plants work to keep insects away so I might put a circle of them around the area once i find out if they are a strong enough repellent.

Today I found the main location of where I will base my operation from, I figure once cleared i should be able to fit a good amount of plants here and the greenhouse. I also found 3 more locations that are slightly smaller but should be capable of holding a good 20+ plants. Here are some pictures of what i cleared so far today.
