Big Purple Haze: What genre of plant is it??

Indica dominant I believe.

But why are they so slender?

They are all females by the way

"Haze" typically describes sativas, that plant does show some indica though.

they look great! with a name like purple haze you have to wonder their genetics as names are often used by companies to sell their stock. hope you post more pics as they develop!

It does make you wonder.. although these seeds were from some killer green, not a seed bank. I enjoyed the bud from which it was born and am excited to see it mature without seeds in it. Never the less it may have got "named" based on characteristics rather than it being a reliable breed. It would be possible that this is indeed purple kush not haze. It is purple something, you can't really argue that. I don't really buy into the whole naming buisness, but hey i gotta call it what I was told it was.

Did you top the plants? Without topping they wont grow as bushy as you see online. These ladies look awesome thou, Very good work.

420 has it right. FIM the top and the plant will branch out more. Looks like your in for a single fatty cola!

good question, Haze hybrids have a tendency to have side branches reach as high as the central leader, I'm guessing Big Purps (indica) is the mother and dominating the genetics

you're right about not FIMing them, they have grown extra slim rather than the christmas tree look the "purple people eater" has morphed into after it was FIM'd. this strain definitly needs to be topped next year.

Now those other older kush ak plants were not topped and they are bushy as hell. Different strain none the less.

That tall bitch is 6 foot 2 now and still growing. The side shoots are growing fast and the fan leaves are fading out. I wonder how much pot we'll get. Realistically?
