If you were to have same strain same nute same everything side by side 2.5 gallon pot next to 5 gallon the bigger pot will always kick ass . That's why a lot of people don't even bother with 5 gallon buckets . Just think of it like your plants root system should be aloud to get twice as big as the plant you want to grow . I started with 25 gallon totes and have had no over/ under watering issues and no nute burns to speak of yet . I think the bigger pots are helping with these issues . I would make them as big as you can fit in your area your working with . Just remember all things being the same except pot size , the bigger pot kicks ass every time . Seems like it's one of the cheeper parts of the puzzle i don't know what anyone who is not stealth growing would grow in such small pots . I am just a beginner so my info is just from research not experience .
