Biggest and newest noobie to rollitup :)

But yea this is my first grow INDOORS and wanna get all the info i can before i even start. Want to take my time and take care of these girls to see if they really dig me Thanks for all the advice and help everyone!

i feel you man. i studied for 5 years b4 i could grow. and im glad i did cause its just coming to me like second nature. def get everything right b4 u germinate seeds. make sure your grow room is running perfectly. dont wanna have plants in there if something isnt right or fucked up. know what i mean?

dang 5 years ! Your harvests must be like CHRISTMAS lol... hopefully my first grow i will be able to get at least an ounce per plant. This site is all i needed i got all my research from it. All you future growers i advise you to do as i did and study for at LEAST 2-3 weeks before you even start construction of your system. My system is getting set up now i have set up the ventilation a little weird(attic unavailable). I bought a 6in vent fan going STRAIT from the cooltube to a vent duct going around my room to a window (that i open for about 4 hrs a day) . For my incoming air(c02) i have a fan and avent duct going from the SAME window. Do any of you think tis will be a problem. IM going to keep the window open for around 4 hours a day hopefully that will be enough air for my plants. ALso go a big oscilating fan inside my hydro hut. Temp with light and fan on starys around 72- 80 degrees. As soon as i turn the fans off its gets up to 85-92 lol! ITS really good i made this posts and checked out information on Temps! If u see any problems with this system i have setup please let me know I LOVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.

The only problem i see is the thermal imagingmight get meintrobule with all that hot air going out. But a 400 mh/hps should conduct enough heat for the police to mess with me. Would love to hear all of your thoughts.

Definitely don't worry about the thermal imaging. That is used for substantial outdoor crops...heat coming from a house doesn't mean anything. Those temps are nice, but definitely keep the fan on all the time. I would try to keep the window open longer than that if possible for more ventilation, but it's not a problem that it's the same window (as far as I know).

yea i think im gonna need to keep my window open at least half of the day. I think i am going to setup my 4in inline fan to feed into my carbon filter and just recirculate the air inside the grow room aka using it as a scrubber. and then just have ONE vent duct system from a window into the grow hut giving it fresh air from outside. That seems like the most suitable aaproach to my situation. Im reading up now on LSTing these plants. LSTing seems like something that would really help and give good results to my closet grow. Any pro's on LSTing here?

Sure more light equals faster growing, but why would you want to quickly grow hay? Use lights close during veg and move them further away in flower. Strong evidence supports the use of UVb lights to increase potency.

Dude...don't worry about that. A lot of growers have their own little suspicions or findings, but that doesn't mean you should believe every one of them (you'd go crazy, because they conflict half the time). It's pretty clear from many, many growers that HID lights (mh/hps) are the easiest way to get the best and biggest buds. I know people can get amazing bud from CFLs and other types...but HID is clearly the way to go if you have the money for it. It gives the most light, and the best type (mh during veg and hps during flower). You've made the right choice on lights. Just don't burn the plants and you will be more than fine (24"+ for seedlings, 12-24" after - use the hand test; if it burns your hand, it'll burn your plant). That being said, many people believe that UVB does help potency. If you wanna run out and go get some lights that provide UVB then go for it, but I'd try a grow without it first and see what you think.

yea you are right im getting too into things.... just waiting for the last of my supply. I should be starting this weekend. I need to just start and let the plant teach me and not even worry about LSTing or anything advanced until my second grow. I will be posting pics so killr and billybob hopefully will be around to help me !

very smart of you man. i grew normally my first time, although hydroponically and organically, i yeilded 9 1/2 oz off 3 white widow girls. now im in my second grow and have the 12 scrogged. im glad i didnt try lst or scrog my first time cause i would have been lost, even doing the 5 years of research i did b4 starting growing i had a good idea of how to scrog, but not good enough. you made a good decision just growing normally ur first try. things will become more comfortable as you gain more skill. and yes every crop is like christmas, but i think that goes without saying for everyone!

Well it sounds like you got the right idea for sure. Its good that you are pre pared. But i think you should know that on my first grow i never took my eyes off my plants and i tried to do too much for em. Good bit of advice, when you see em germinate and grow a root, transplant and let em be. Their not baby seeds anymore. Newbs alwase give their plants too much attention and that not good to a certain degree. So just grab some chips, soda, lotion, and some tissues. Then go put in your best porno and have fun fun fun. be patient. I would grow the cheap supergirl seeds so incase you majorly mess up it wont be so bad. Take a crash course first. know what i mean.
