If I don't smoke before I drive. I get a bad case of road rage.

If you want to see the social experiment. Look right and left in Austin grid lock traffic. About 5:30. Make a game of counting the people sneaking a toke off a joint. They're easy to spot. They're the ones that ain't a$$holes.

They seem to be able to refer to all kinds of evidence for something there are no studies on...

"I've never tried marijuana or any other illegal substance...blah, blah......well there's his problem...

Emery's claim, while dubious has some studies supporting it.

Blair definitely seems to have an axe to grind against the Emeries, CBC had a cross country checkup episode over the weekend on legalization, when the host directed a Jodie question to Blair (who got the obligatory 15 minutes to spread government propaganda) he started out with 'Well first let me say we will see to it criminal profiteers have no part in this industry'.

If the government is going to curtail our liberties to "make us safe", then they should at least demonstrate that said exercising of our liberty is unsafe and more detrimental than the loss of our freedoms.

But they can't even do that!

I know a lot of people who shouldn't operate heavy machinery after taking their opioids.

You can drive a 80,000 pound semi full of cattle. Hauling a$$ at 85 mph. Got a script for that vicodin? Pop them like PEZ candy.

The bottle says not to drive but it's a legal drug. There's no test on the side on the road for pharmaceutical garbage. No test for legal heroin. Oxytocin/ hydrocodone. Speed, amphetamines. Downers, Zanax. The list go's on.

Big pharmaceutical, private prisons, and police unions keep this stupid $hit on the grid.

But don't think of driving on cannabis. You're a maniac if you do. It's such happy horseshit.

    Summary and Conclusions
    • Cannabis use has been shown to have short-term negative impacts on reaction time, motor coordination, divided attention, short-term memory and decision-making under time-pressured and informationally-complex conditions.

    • Cannabis use has a short-term negative impact upon driving performance as measured by driving simulation techniques, manifested primarily in difficulty with maintaining lateral road position within one’s lane.

    • The negative impact of cannabis use upon driving performance is dose-related, increasing with increased dosage of cannabis.

    • Regular users of cannabis are more likely to be tolerant to the impairment effects of cannabis.

    • Unlike alcohol use, cannabis use does not predispose to aggressive or violent behavior, which can

      affect driving ability.

    • Use of cannabis and alcohol in combination creates an additive risk of impairment and serious

motor vehicle accident, but at low doses of alcohol (<.05) may not increase risk of low severity crashes; alcohol whether alone or in combination with other drugs is the largest contributor to crash risk.
