bin numbers and how to choose them

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can explain what bins are with cobs? I dont know how to choose a cob with a high bin since I dont know what the numbers mean.... Any suggestions? Thanks

If you look at the datasheets the bins are listed with the lumen count. Highest bin 3500K CXB3590 is CD at the moment, highest 3500K CXB3070 is BB at the moment.

in general higher CCTs are more efficient

for 3590s
4000, 5000, 6500K are all DB right now
3500 is CD
3000 is CB

70 cri is usually higher bin than 80 which is higher than 90 for a given color
