bit of an acrid smell

newbie grower here ...ive only done few grows but ive noticed sometimes on some of my plants a kind of acrid smell when you touch buds and try to get idea of their smell...theres no visible signs of mold but its just not completely fresh smell....is this mold and is therer anything i can do about it...thanks

Tell us medium and nutrients and strain. Plus the other details we're nosy about. Pictures always help.

Soil can put off a bad odor especially in tent grows. The buds look fine I highly doubt your smelling rot on the buds. It's probably the soil. One reason that I switched to coco was to reduce the odor of my indoor garden.

What's the humidity in the damn tent, strain is irrelevant, really, until we know humidity.

I doubt it's the plants from the looks of it.

Also, do you have/had COVID as it can mess with your sense of smell. I couldn't taste or smell for months and months afterwards it would still mess with me.

And as others here have said, like in my soil grows, if there is a lot of humus in it, it can give off a bit of a rotting smell as it breaks down. Especially after I water, come back in an hour and it's like "phewieee.."

That smell is called dank...those are beautiful flowers...congrats no worries...just keep your RH in check, and air moving. If your doing that, they wont mold or rot
