Dude, I went thru the same about 5 weeks ago, the plants were only 2 weeks into flowering. I removed all I could find, then in the late afternoon I sprayed with (Safer Brand) caterpillar killer. I beleive the BT in it does a job on those freekin caterpillars! Two weeks after things looked pretty good, I still checked every day just incase the spray didnt kill the eggs, They say to re-spray but i didnt want to because 4 weeks into flowering! Im trying not to make this so long, but maybe it will help?
1. I beleive the caterpillars are grown from moth eggs.
2. I check every morning with microscope and remove any eggs that the moths may have layed at night! Every egg I find has always been right on the top of bud! So That is where I put my attention to, Sometimes I wont have time in the morning so I will check them later, As long as I'm on it every day the egg doesnt have a chance to pop
3. I have seen no more damage, And the plants are doing well! Next grow will be pest proof via netting! Heres a Pic of a couple plants with netting
, I never sprayed these two plants and just put this up to see if it helps. The plants are absolutley spotless of any caterpillars! No moths landing on them! Here's a pic of an egg I got off one of the exposed plant.
. It does take time to do this, But I bet I'm not the only one doing this, and everyone who is doing this is looking at some real nice buds right about now here in sunny Calif
