If you read my previous grow journal...you flatter me with your return to view this one as well! If you did not read the journal...Welcome to this one!

Just a short posting tonight as there is nothing to really journal yet. I am growing 2 plants as always this grow due to the size of my grow space. Both are Green House seeds Jack Herer strain. If you are interested, the genetic info for this strain can be found here:

I placed them in moistened paper toweling and placed them in a zip lock baggie on 6/2/2016.

As I always I am using my beloved FFHF soil. However, this time I am wanting to go much more organic. Therefore I will not be using the FF nutes this time. I plan to go 100% organic and water only for this grow. I am going to get some pro-mix and all the other additives I need. For the first couple of weeks until the roots are developed they will be in just the FFHF/perlite mixture. The living medium I intend to make is rather hot for seedlings and I do not want to burn my gurlz. I am rather excited about this growing method as I have never had a water-only grow.

With the exception of the medium change all else remains the same as far as growing conditions. 20"D x 36"W X 62"H tent. 400w HID with switchable ballast, cool tube reflector, 260cfm booster blowing over the bulb. Carbon scrubber and a 440cfm in-line fan. And an additional 12" interior fan for ambient ventilation.

In any new grow I always try to better what I did on my last. I harvested a bit over 5 ounces dry on my last grow. So, this time I have a goal of 6.5-7 ounces dry. Since I am stepping up my game on medium...I also hope to step up the final yield as well.

Now, I would like a little input on something from previous journal followers...did you enjoy the videos from my last journal?...or would you prefer just pics and editorial?

Yeah, hopefully I have already had all the problematic issues I will have with this grow...proper journaling. LOL!!!

As for the grow...I am a bit concerned that I see no sign of tap root from either seed and they have been soaking 3 days. I have other seeds in the waiting. But they are 2 different strains and not the GH Jack Herer...one is Muneka Rosa from Kannabia seeds and the other is a Jack Herer strain but from a Black Skull breeders not the GH.

I am still hoping they will open. I am going to try just putting them in starter pots and putting my 150w cfls on them. Can't hurt right?

paper towel method...done it forever never had an issue.

Yeah that's the method i use and never had any problems ...I put my paper towel in a zip lock bag and place it on warm surface and cover so no light hits it..I usually get tap roots 2-3 days..Then i put them in rapid rooter plugs with great success....Hope yours cracks soon

I will never buy another Green House seed again and never should have this time either....I have heard way to many negative things about their breeding techniques, genetics, and seed issues. And besides I don't care for the arrogance of the so called "King of Cannabis" or his little monkey boy...I think they are lovers...

yeah had on a heat pad...in a zip lock...moist and warm. No pop yet and it has just been entirely too long. I am accepting it as a loss though. I have never had a seed fail to germinate or not be a female. So, I have been very lucky and will learn and move on. I have 2 other seeds available. I have a Black Skull Jack Herer and a Kannabia Muneka Rosa. Both Saitiva dom. The thing is though I have truly never grown 2 same strains in 1 grow. And I was hoping to accomplish that this time. Oh well...onward and upward as they say.

Well, the title of this thread should now be...2nd grow for 2016 RESET...neither of the 2 Green House/ Jack Herer popped...fucking assholes!. Anyway, I started the Black Skull Jack Herer and the Kannabia Muneka Rusa. I hope these 2 are viable, I really do not want to have to buy more genetics right now. Also, if they are bad I may also have to retract my opinion of the seedbank they came from.

HAPPY B-DAY!!

Both of the two 'stand by' seeds popped yesterday...placed in soil under 150w CFL each. they peaked out today...new journal start date...6/10/16. I am going to count the 1st 2 weeks as seedling and root development stage. I intend to veg minimum 6 weeks...more likely 8 and flower until they are done 8-10 weeks. Giving this grow an estimated 18 weeks...looking to harvest mid October I am going to do LST and Super-cropping on both plants. I am wanting to go organic and will use my tried and true FFHF but I am going to pass on the FF nute system in favor of General Hydoponics flora series. I know this is still not 100% organic...but I have a very small efficiency type of apartment amd I don't really want a 20 gallon tub full of soil mix sitting in my living area. So, I intend to use the remaning FFHF and do the 'living soil' next grow.

Well, there is really nothing to show yet on my sprouts so no video this time.

As for Green HouseSeeds genetics...DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! Neither of my Jack Herer seeds were viable. Mine is not the first bad experience I have heard about GH seeds and I should have known better. But fool me once it's your fault...fool me twice it's mine.

Really sorry to see your beans didn't pop. It is one of those experiences that doesn't seem so bad until it happens to you and this situation is exasperated when you are counting on them to pop. Good luck bro I will be reading along even though I don't always reply to the journals I peruse. Thanks for the words to the wise regarding your purchasing experience

ive always used the general hydro but i know alot of organic farmers refer to it being radioactive lol
i just started using rx green solutions with some added mycos and stuff. checkem out man.one of the only companies to actually test there stuff on cannabis and is way less radioactive lol
