I cut/trim wet straight in to paper bags them into cardboard boxes with holes and slow fan to slow down the dry process 6-8 weeks shake toss bag every 2 days , need to change bags if they get to damp on bottom, air circulation the key, buds crispy in hand - then into turkey/oven bags 2 lb max and into buckets ready to smoke - cure for another 4-6 weeks if needed, this works for me in my environment , very smooth , tasty ,sticky buds ...
NO BLACK ash as well cured/hot flame ...... to many try to rush the process- blame everything except what they do.. have been there done that like everyone else . :eyesmoke: :bigjoint:

Those look badly fox-tailed. Also, if you dried them and didn’t trim the leaves, the acrid taste you’re getting is unevaporated chlorophyll leftover in the leaves. Which means you need to cure it longer and should trim it before curing. Can’t get impatient.
