For being beer country
We sure made some really shitty beer

these are all german style "small beers" designed as a low alcohol content water replacement to combat dysentery and the green apple splatters. krauts and beer snobs now consider small beers to be piss,, but they still go down smooth on a hot day. ales, porters,, heavy lagers and pilsners are not nearly as refreshing. meanwhile the french believe we should only drink wine.

when i desire a heavier more full bodied beer, i go with newcastle, or bellhaven ales, and occasionally melbourne brothers cherry ale.

also warsteiner sapporo and kirin.

Never encountered it. Rheingold and IC Lite are the two worst beers I've encountered, and oddly both had their passionate fans. It's almost like "someone has to stick up for this swill ... so why not me?" cn
never tried those, consider if you will, the mighty Colt .45. packed with urine, and Billy Dee Williams enui. Even Lando Calrisian cannot make this pisswater useful for anything but engine coolant and bulkhead stripper. colt_45.jpg

The reverend of the church wanted to marry them but felt pressure from a small group of racist parishioners not to marry them. he still married them. Just not in that church.
Do you know the history of the Southern baptist Church and black people?
And why do you ALWAYS take the side of racists and bigots?
I don't perform work for all those who call me, I could but I'm selective about it. People need references to hire my bussiness, a church pastor should be able to decide who if anyone he wants to marry.

if they had hired the hall and paid the minister they would yhave contracts and would be suing in court,, not whingeing and crying on tv declaring that white parishioners said "no niggers gonna git murried in this heah house o' jeeeeehausus!"

their whole story sounds faker than fuck.
step 1) they "printed up invitations and shit"
step 2) then the church congregation (of which they were not members) said that black people cant get married in their church
step 3) TV time!

where are the contracts which should be signed,, or the check for reserving the hall, or the check for paying the minister? none of this smells right. they would have a huge damage award from the courts if they had followed the steps one normally adheres to for bar/bot mitzvahs, weddings, bris's, wakes, funerals, and funerary after-parties.

they couldnt even show up in most city parks for a wedding without reserving the area for their function first.

You need to read the article. The pastor wanted to marry them. Some racist parishoners didnt want no black folk in their church.
You need to know the history of the southern baptists. They only recently went thru a change of heart on Race

Recent history

In 1995, the Convention voted to adopt a resolution renouncing its racist roots and apologizing for its past defense of slavery, segregation, and white supremacism.[SUP][39][/SUP][SUP][40][/SUP] This marked the denomination's first formal acknowledgment that racism had a profound role in its early and modern history. The convention has recognized that the demographics of the United States were changing and has made an effort to recruit new members among minority populations.

Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson had planned to marry this month at the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs in Mississippi, but were asked at the last minute to move.

Their pastor, Stan Weatherford, made the request on behalf of some congregants who didn't want to see the couple married there, according to CNN affiliate WLBT. He performed the ceremony at a nearby church.
"This was, had not, had never been done here before so it was setting a new (precedent) and there were those who reacted to that," Weatherford told WLBT.
"I didn't want to have a controversy within the church, and I didn't want a controversy to affect the wedding of Charles and Te' Andrea. I wanted to make sure their wedding day was a special day," he reportedly said.

Talking about the group that opposed the wedding he said: "We hope we can straighten them out, you know, get them to understand what Christianity is all about because they have some misconceptions about it."

I know them and still suport their right to decide, doing so does not in any way mean I support their decision. The last time I went to a Southern Baptist church I was threatened by the deacon with bodily harm and then asked to come in and pray with him, I declined and told him I am never coming back here for any reason. Bunch of nuts.

Didn't he end up performing their wedding at a different location? But the same pastor?

Props to him for standing up for what he believed in.
more likely desperately trying to stave off a lawsuit.

your cited stories are very vague on the actual details i want to know. if they had the hall reserved, and paid for the ceremony and the accommodations they should be suing the church for breach of contract, and civil rights violations.

they are not doing that.

it all smells fishy

the pastor marrying them in a different location is non sequitor

the allegations that some of the congregation are racist is also non sequitor

basically CNN's lack of skill at reporting the facts makes most of their reportage non sequitor.

i saw an interview with him regarding it and tbh, i got the impression that he sincerely disagreed with the minority of his congregation that made a stink but was not willing to lose his job to take a stand.

Yup
I'm guessing like all churches
There is a inner circle
they decide a lot of things including whether to fire and hire the pastors

I place "malt liquor" in a separate, less dignified category than actual beer. Beer is a pleasure; malt liquor is a drug. cn

KING COBRA!!!!

My first beer and always the last one i'll choose when browsing the store lol.

WHEW!!! that shit is nasty but DAMN it packs a punch.
Olde English.

either the malt liquor or the furniture polish. either one works just as well, but Lemon Pledge has more zzzz-zzzzzz-zz-zing!

i stil dont buy the story cnn is trying so hard to manufacture outrage over. it just doesnt track.
