Good for those chilly winter runsThese lights didnt fare to well in chilLeds tests with an independent lab. Doesnt mean they dont grow well though.

3.6 pounds from a 4x4 very good. 2 pounds from a 3.5x3.5 is very good, almost 3 ounce per square foot.
But tests seems to say they are about as efficient as HPS single ended. Spectrum seems to play a huge role here.
Hey So the reason they are not giving you exact brand for each color is because its like a trade secret. they purchase the diodes they choose come from the best manufacturer of that color, like Cree makes the best 450nm Blue and whites, while Osram makes the best reds. The 9 different diodes all come from the top source of that color you can get.Sup man, subbed for this one. Which diodes are in those panels? They are pretty vague on their site
https://www.blackdogled.com/faq_choosing-diodes
"For some of the colors we use, it is very hard to find what the best manufacturer is, but we do not share this information with the public for one solid reason: it is not in our best interest"
This doesnt sit well with me.
how so?
cheers! followed ya on insta, good luck with the grow
is it though? it sounds like marketing bollocks, its not hard to find out which diodes are most efficient. So the reason they are not giving you exact brand for each color is because its like a trade secret
What umoles/J does fixture put out ?So apparently I lost all the photos from the weeks previous and have been trying my best to find everything to share with you guys. I apologize but I do have this grow documented with data and pics from day 1, then jumps to day 37, since it wont let me upload video.
Another heavy defoliation was done at day 21, where the large fan leaves were stripped again. I have video from this but cant post for some reason. It is amazing how fast these plants bounce back and how well they respond to this method.
Here are some pics of day 37.

How about par map showing light coverage?
Very good cannopy management, nuthin but tops! Lookin goodSo apparently I lost all the photos from the weeks previous and have been trying my best to find everything to share with you guys. You can call it marketing or is it a company trying to make it more difficult for competitors to rip them off. If that is your hold up, sorry to hear. The fact they are telling you they are only using the best of the best isnt good enough, well it is for me. If the fixtures didnt perform like they should, then maybe I would question it, but havent had a problem.is it though? it sounds like marketing bollocks, its not hard to find out which diodes are most efficient.
you thought about the latest strips? they would destroy these panels.
or are you just selling black dogs at the mo?
Thanks the canopy is all about training and topping. We top top top non stop. it should be on our business cards hahaPpf/w (350-750nm) : 1.336 As per independent tests by chilLed.
Which not really that good.
But the light seems to stack some serious bud though in the right hands. Op has nice numbers for per square foot which is more important for many of us. Also this light has optics, which tend to eat up some light but throw more at the cannopy.
Very good cannopy management, nuthin but tops! Lookin good
it is 100% marketing because every decent horticultural led manufacturer knows who makes the best, and pretty much everyone here at RIU knows too.You can call it marketing or is it a company trying to make it more difficult for competitors to rip them off. If that is your hold up, sorry to hear.
No, no its not good enough. Thats like buying a car on the promise the engine is what they say and not looking for yourself. Do you wanna buy my kit car, mate? its a ferrari under the hood, i promise, $100k its yours. The fact they are telling you they are only using the best of the best isnt good enough, well it is for me.
That light is $2600 this has way more output and would save a few hundred dollars https://chilledgrowlights.com/our-products-services/commercial-led-grow-lights/chilled-led-grow-light-1000wYou can call it marketing or is it a company trying to make it more difficult for competitors to rip them off. And you saying strips would destroy these panels...strips are 600w fixtures at max, please tell me a strip light that has hit over 3lbs? I do that on the 1000 w series all day.
And yes I sell BDL along with tons of other equipment. I work with BDL closely and believe they are the best LEDs on market from my experience and results I have seen.
To be clear: Lets talk in results here, not theories and what companies claim. Tell me an LED on the market that YOU have seen hit 3lbs+. Results are key and not some on number on a paper an LED company is spewing.
If you are hitting 2lbs in a 4x4 I would say that is great, the results are there, and with the BDL fixtures for the last year working with them and their lights, I havent done anything under 3 with the 1000's. The 800's are hitting consistently over 2+ and have seen as high as 2.9 with a commercial grow that is running organics! Proof is in the pudding brotha, and these fixtures dont lie.
For me, its all about results and all the specs and data from test are only a part of the picture. at the end of the day, i dont care if it is the most efficient light on the market if it can only hit 1lb or 1.5lb in a 4x4. Im a commercial grower looking for production and even if I was at home, I would want something that is going to get me the best possible yields in my space. The name of the game is Grams per sqft. MAX it out. We hit constantly 80-100+ g/sqft on these. So chose to like it or not, but I'll keep my BDL lights over the strips that I have never seen hit weight.
I average 3+ in a 4x8 using 900 watts of Citizen/CreeTell me an LED on the market that YOU have seen hit 3lbs+.
I googled the 800, and most of them came up around $1950That light is $2600 this has way more output and would save a few hundred dollars https://chilledgrowlights.com/our-products-services/commercial-led-grow-lights/chilled-led-grow-light-1000w
With a piss weak efficiency of 1.336 Ppf/w, you do not have to worry about competition ripping it off.You can call it marketing or is it a company trying to make it more difficult for competitors to rip them off.
