It was 24 days from the flip before either of them showed any preflowers, but I attribute that to them being outside when I flipped, and the sun being 14 hours/ day, but I thought that would be better than flipping them in the closet under 12 hrs., and then putting them out in the 14 hr. and confusing them.

yeah, its best that you did do it the way you did, cause your right! All it would've done was confuse the plants, and it could've made them herm on you aswell if done the other way.

3 plants is kinda crowded, and coming season, I will most likely be back under the CFL's in the closet, but IF I get any S.D. pollen sacks, I know what to do with them. ;-)

Okay, I have to apologize to you guys for the lack of updates, but I'm currently in a never ending battle with fungus gnats. :evil:

I've tried everything I possibly could without putting a layer of sand on top of my soil, but I'm about to break and bring out the sand.. :cry:

But on a lighter note, the dispensary I'm growing for gave me 15 free feminized SinMints! :clap:

had like 36 strains I was "key word" getting ready to loose cause I had "thought" I scored some pollen to pollinate atleast the better half of all these girls! Well, looks as if that feel through 4 some reason! :fire:

pissed! Well, had talked with another good friend & he went out on his farm & collected some 4 me.. so now looks like I am going to have 36 strains crossed with some good male genetics..

What a relief!!

Fungus gnats... Those bastards. I cleaned the grow tent 3 times with soapy water, sprayed 3 types of organic pesticides without the plants in there, sprayed down my plants with pyrth. I've done everything I possibly could. But those bastards are fucking persistent as shit! It's a new breed of super gnats, I'm telling you. I'm thinking about using the sand method but have been steering away from it because I don't want to suffocate my roots, but I think I'm going to have to... :neutral:

Whenever I have fungus gnats, I just let the top layer of my soil dry out a little more between waterings. This kills them off pretty well for me.

Yeah, the gnat problem probably came to be because of me overwatering one of my plants on accident. Was in a big hurry to get to work. Bad mistake. And drying out the soil doesn't seem to do much at this point. They're too strong and abundant...

I had that happen on my first grow. I think that when they are that abundant it can be a sign of root rot. I can't remember the proportions exactly, but I used a dilute solution of dish soap and baking soda that I sprayed on the top layer of soil to kill them. I didn't use a lot, just light mistings. Too much will harm the plant. I found the recipe with google, and used a little less than what it said. I guess I should have written it down...sorry. Personally, I'd try the sand first. It's a little messy but it's easy.

Hell yeah, it is some all natural stuff to! So it will not hurt your girls bro..

its made of rosemary extracts & a few other ingrediants. It even states on the packages that you can use in flowering if ya need 2.. but I wouldn't cause I don't want my smoke tasting like rosemary.. lol

I mixed up a batch of baking soda & 2 drops of dawn dish liquid to a gln of water

But he left out the 1 tsp for the Soda per gallon.
