New York (CNN) -- A 35-year-old New York man has
been charged with hate crimes in connection with seven "knockout"
assaults, including attacks on two elderly women and a mother walking
with her daughter, police said Saturday.

Barry Baldwin, a Brooklyn
resident, was charged with six counts of assault as a hate crime, six
counts of aggravated harassment as a hate crime, and other crimes for a
spate of attacks between November 9 and December 27 in predominantly
Jewish sections of Brooklyn, police said.

This was your statement: "what the fuck are you talking about? black people are charged with hate crimes at a higher rate than white people are." According to the FBI stats, 62.4% of hate crime offenders were white. You did not say black people are charged with more hate crimes proportionate to their share of the population, you said they are charged with hate crimes at a higher rate than white people are, which implies that more black people are charged with hate crimes than white people.

There's nothing racist about it. Your statement was misleading.

Oh look, someone else who cant read seemingly simple statistical data and reach a correct assumption.

Edit: Besides, your claim is false on your own merits.

2 reasons.

First, 14% population, 18% of charges. I would say that 4% is nowhere near statistically significant.

Second, when you consider that the median and mean age of blacks is lower than whites, the numbers of those who can be out and about are slightly higher than total population.

For the reasons mentioned above, the proportion of blacks charged with hate crimes is well within the bounds of what one would expect given their population.

And you still cant interpret simple data.
