Blackstrap Molasses for adding bud weight?

Does molasses work better than a sugar nute (already using carboload)? Need to add some weight to my flower girl's buds or it will be a dismal harvest! They're stunted due to extreme measures taken to overcome wpm. Currently on day 37 of 43, but think they need a couple more weeks at least (indoor, soil, white widow). Any ideas to increase the bud weight is greatly appreciated!!

Not in my experience. Synthetic is the way to go.

This topic is one of those old "Wive's Tales". The molasses, or Carboload, doesn't do a damn thing for the plant. What it does is feed the Micro-organisms in the soil. Then, in turn, the Micro-organisms go to work on the "Soil" and that just allows the plant to live up to it's potential, a little better. The healthy, strong, plant is what produces bud-weight - not tricks or "Snake Oil".

it's also possible to overfeed your herd, just like overfeeding with synthetics.

What kind of lighting? watts per sq. ft? It seems to me light quality and intensity has more to do with bud quality.

I've been playing with AK Pure Kelp in mid to late flower. I feel like I'm seeing denser buds. Using it in veg and early flower seems to cause stretchy growth. I've read kelp has growth hormones. That might be the reason. My base fertilizer (Grow More Sea Grow) already has kelp. So, supplementing in veg and early flower doesn't help. But, in later flower it seems to cause bulking. I can't tell yet. But, might be worth a try.

I agree with carb dissidents. Sugar, honey, molasses only feeds the soil microbes which help make nutrients available to the nutes. I use molasses even in veg, just 1/8 to 1/4 tsp/gal. But, I don't think it does anything for flavor or bud density (although greater availability of nutrients might affect the latter.).
