Burro for sure. They will chase off the foxes and coyotes in a heartbeat.
They put them in with sheep and chickens for guard animals.
I'm leaning that way too as every mini horse I've been around was a sneaky biter. Bite ya in the ass or leg when you weren't looking. Coyotes stay away from my place after I shot a few for eating my barn cats. Foxes are an occasional pic on the security cam but even they have learned to stay away from the cats. Both find easier pickings in the valley bellow us where there's cattle and sheep. Not sure how the bears will act but I'm guessing an electric cattle fence will be needed for them.

i second the burro, actually they're docel animals, and they're great protectors, if they see something not right they sound off....nother atvantage is you can also use them to transport stuff.....

A buddy the town over has 4 of the regular burros and 2 minis. My wife saw the mini ones when we dropped off some baked goodies last year for his birthday and fell in love with the idea of them and the mini horses. Lots of work taking care of them but we'll see about it next spring.

My buddy was like "I'm tired. Power nap time!" And just assumed this position (dog is mine, not theirs) should I just... keep sitting here? Lol

Quick, think of a scare tactic when they wake up…you know, open their eyes and see a huge picture of a monster or something, put fake spiders on them, etc…
