Happy Monday!! Had a great weekend. Hung with the middle kid, watched some movies, played some disc golf, dropped him off at work, got my flood tray, played some random draw doubles disc golf, we got 1st place (got our $10 back plus $5), got the tray in the tent and drain hooked up, and I'm currently at about 16 hours on a fast. Gonna stretch it tp at least 18 hours, but im going to try to hit 20 and make it till lunch time. Have a great week, everyone!!!

Oh yeah, I also made a dozen scotch eggs for snacks and meals. Soooo good.

Those scotch eggs look perfect.

I had a misadventure in cooking over the weekend. My partner asked me to make pulled pork for dinner on Saturday. Off I went to two grocery stores. No pork shoulders anywhere. The last store had a cottage roll... packaging said Pork Shoulder bone removed. I cut it into chunks rubbed on some pork rub and put it in the ninja.

As I was releasing the pressure it didn't smell right, just an odd smell. It pulled apart fine but it was pink and when I tasted it it was so salty... like just eating pure salt... that's all you could taste. I guess cottage roll is the pork equivalent to corned beef and it's supposed to be boiled in water. We ordered pho instead lol.

That doesn't sound like a pleasant surprise. Lol. How was the Pho?

Thanks. I used pork rinds for the breading. Misted them with Pam before tossing in the air fryer. They looked pretty well done when they came out, but they tasted perfect. I was really happy with them. I still want to play with the eggs a bit and make some with soft boiled eggs, but im always afraid to undercook them. I did finally find a method for boiling eggs where 13 of 13 peeled perfectly, so that was awesome.

Got the tray into the tent for now and the drain plumbed up. I had a realization that as tight as the pvc pushes together, I am not gluing it for the drain as it will not be pressurized and it will be minimal water going down it at any given time. I dumped a gallon into it quickly earlier and nothing leaks and it doesn't back up in the drain tube that it is tucked into. If it needs to come out for any reason, I want to be able to pull it apart. Or adjust it if things change in the future. I didn't take into account how high off the floor that the hole was in the side of the tent so I had to improvise on a stand for the tray. I used all my half gallon pots stacked inside a bed riser. Got it up just enough so the drain is slightly down hill. I think I am going to try to prop the back up with one more pot because a little water sits around the edges. Not a big deal right now. I will probably build a stand for it and when I do, I'll raise the back up .5-.75 inch to give it a bit more slope. Hopefully I'll be able to work on it tomorrow night and get the pump plumbed up to it.
How far did the water spread from the bleed valve the first time you turned it on?

I'm so glad I saved one of the Wedding Cake snips I got from a buddy. A couple more weeks and it should be ready for me to grab snips and flower. It's supposed to have awesome terps and above average potency. Can't wait to find out. Hope y'all had a great weekend. View attachment 5348302yyuu

All of the bands were great. I had a great time. It was kinda funny that when they were announcing the upcoming bands during the show the band Lovejoy always got the biggest rise out of the crowd. It's a UK band that apparently has quite a following of 12-yr-olds girls. That in itself was pretty entertaining, watching how animated the young girls got during their set. The new venue was pretty awesome too.

My niece is a radio personality so we had VIP tix that let us use the overlook that is eye level with the stage. Usually there's a food spread for VIPs but we didn't know where to go so I ate a food truck burger & fries before finding out they had prime rib, etc. for the VIP's. DOH!
