Boomer gets the same. Impacted, hard snow on the legs and undercarriage. An enormous pain in the ass to remove/clasp in your hands until the little arctic nuggets begin to melt. Repeat

May I recommend Tucson. The weather is better, the cost of living is cheaper, more scenic and a lot less traffic. After spending 4 days in Vegas, driving around in the residential areas and doing some house shopping, going to some regular 'daily life' places like the grocery stores and hell-marts, touring the "rough parts" of town, and then taking in some entertainment; my wife and I couldn't really find a good reason to stop trying to move there. I barely noticed my neck and back pain, even on the day I went mostly dry because of house shopping and driving on roads I don't know. The school my kid wants to go to is beautiful and the staff was really friendly. I think I only cussed at traffic twice there.
Even walking through the area of town the realtor told me to go if I wanted to see the 'slummiest slums' of Vegas. Yeah, the look she gave me when I asked directions to the one place in town no one goes willingly, was an amusing look to say the least. Anyway, yeah I saw two crazies talking to Elvis and one crazy Elvis talking to Janice. That's noting compared to the wonders the Bath Salt State has provided me over the years.
Penn and Teller live are even better than on TV.
I really thought driving in and out of the residential areas at rush hour, wandering through the supposed rough parts alone at night, and staying off the strip most the trip might trigger my 'this place sucks' vibe, but it didn't happen. The one rough moment was midnight shift change at White Castle, that kind of sucked, it's White Castle, it always sucks.
After landing back home, my back started hurting before we got to baggage claim, driving home form the airport was 45 minutes at 80mph bumper to bumper at 8pm, almost side swiped twice in traffic, and every interaction I've had since I got home has made me want to stay in the house.
Yeah, I'm done with the deep south. Got some more ducks to line up but I think we can make it work and maybe even have some fun. Looks like we're going to Leroy Jenkins this, just like 20 years ago when we escaped the cow and corn fields of the Midwest.
Fun fact: you can pull sympathy strings and get a discount on a Vegas dinner if you tell the owner you're looking to move there as a sanity refugee from Flori-duh.
Funner Fact: Doing THC liquid shots before dinner make for really blunt conversations with the restaurant owner.
He usually only gets them at the park I have a towel on my seat, turn on the seat warmer and they're gone by the time we're home.Boomer gets the same. I like it! Totally different than shop work! I love backcountry
My daughter and two of the grandsons were living in Scottsdale, that's how we ended up in Tucson. We wanted to be closer to the grand kids. Phoenix/Scottsdale were too busy for us but Tucson was just right. My parents briefly had a little place in Scottsdale. I was supposed to go visit for two weeks in spring of 2020.
About as smart as these painters we had doing the guest house we take care of, before we paid them we went around with LED lights to check work and they missed so many spots in every room, this one long spot by ceiling we go what about that he says well yeah when you put a light on it like that you'll notice things.???ok maybe buy a light so you can see ya thinkNever skip leg day.View attachment 5349313
