shrx clear your cache of all cookies and reboot. Further are you running any firewalls, ad blockers, browser extensions, try turning them off one and by one and see if functionality returns (after turning them off you usually need to restart your browser to get them to unload from resident memory). Blocking external images is often a sign of security software.
