Just got back from Arizona last night. Spent the week in 115 degree heat…like wtf!?Mother nature has decided to throw us a bone today and turn on the natural AC, the infamous delta breeze. Not even supposed to make it to 90 this afternoon and there is some marine layer clouds hanging around at the moment.
I have complained a lot more this year because it has been record breaking and seemingly never ending. A week or so of 105-6 is normal, weeks of it plus temps in the 113 range is not normal.I complain about the heat
I really miss the steam coming off the roads after a thunderstorm rolls through...NOT!Nothing is worse than heat + humidity
We had a couple monsoons roll through while we were there. Nothing feels more oppressive than 100% humidity in 115* heat,I really miss the steam coming off the roads after a thunderstorm rolls through...NOT!
Looks like a nice swimming hole. Heading to one in a minute myself! The 81f/ 40% rh feels perfect today , tomorrow same
It's actually starting to dry out, streams are much lower.

Oh man the weather was perfect! Probably found a easy 30 sand dollars with the kids. Lots of shells. Saw a few crabs and hermit crabs. Possibly a couple seals?......looked like a black lab out a hundred feet or so then went under. And popped up a few more times. It was really awesome! Now I'm just starving before bedtime, lol.
Glad you had good weather for the trip!
I jettisoned my phone a few weeks after moving to this house in the sticks. The signal flies right over us 'cus we are in a 200 ft deep valley....so the only way to text/call out is on the wi-fi. Wife has a iphone. I rarely even touch it. Nope...don't miss any of it. Silence is golden. If ya wanna get ahold of me...call the land line...LOL. (or just pass!) I'm in the garden if ya need me.Enjoy it, the most relaxing moments of the entire 21st century so far have been when my phone is lost, broken or otherwise unusable. Frustrating at the time, but as soon as the electronic leash is back I wish it was broken again.
/Worse comes to worse I can charge my old Zune if I need tunes. It was a better media device anyway, even if it was too late to market to last.
We got one night to be able to open windows, was around 59 felt great when woke up. Tried last night and rh kept climbing said screw this to uncomfortable. God bless them firefighters..Orange sunrise from the smoke but it hasn't dropped so no smell or particulates. 57 this morning and all the windows have been open all night with the fans running. Only supposed to be 88 this afternoon. Humidity is 88% which is outstanding for the firefighters to try to accomplish something today. The north end of the fire is running into some old lava flows so those will be an excellent fire break.
Mornin.
