I've seen Blue Jay's grab the trap with a dead mouse in it and fly off. Kept losing mouse traps near the horse stables so I put up a game camera and caught the bird bandit on film. I just stake them down now to keep them from wandering off.Oh I found the mouse trap

It had its back leg caught and moved 25' away with the trap attached. I think it was pregnant......it was a big fat bellied mouse. The basement will smell like wood soon....got some delivered yesterday and it's going in.

That brings back memories. The scent I had was Iowa truckstop restroom, I believe.

At least in was in the basement and not an interior wall upstairs. I have a few stories from growing up in an old farmhouse. The best was my mom found one dead in her slipper one winters day. Can you imagine slipping your foot into that on in the morning.
Oh boy, the eyes are still way too blurry for this!!

Sucks about your eyes.
The worst I've had was a dead mouse in the forced hot air. Got the heat going and then it turned on......omg it was the whole house instantly. Then I had to open all the windows and shut it down to cool before I could disassemble everything to get it out. That sucked bad

I've had that tub for many, many years lol
It's good in these situations though......15 minutes and the smell is gone. Smells like a bathroom though.....at least a clean one

I got told by Comcast employees that I couldn't drop the TV part and just get internet for years. I never used that part so they screwed me for a long time.
