You have a little guy...I am meeting my 2 and 3 y.o. nephews for basically the 1st time soon. I want to get them something cool. It's the 2 you's birthday, but I'm gonna get them both something.
I know these things are short lived usually, but great fun til they die. Pretty good deal on these on Amazon ($160) with decent ratings The older one is into dinosaurs.
any ideas from a dad?? Or anyone else??

I wired a second battery in sequence to my nephew's to boost the power and he could do donuts in it lol. My sister almost killed me when she saw how fast it went.

There are typically replacement batteries available when they won't hold a charge anymore. Didn't have the $$ to get one of these for my kids, not sure they were a thing back then anyway.

Yeah I mean they are 2 and 3. They'd probably be just as happy with a couple of plastic dinos, and sometimes the small gifts are best. But I know if I were a kid, I'd be saying "more power!!!" They are probably pretty spoiled already....They live in Connecticut, have a pool and a beautiful home....but the parent both work hard and full time.

Now you can buy adapters to be able to run the 20v batteries from different power tool sets. They'll haul ass. Haha

I think they are a bit young for that, but it depends on the kid I guess.

Guys in a hunt club I hunt with do the same thing with electric golf carts. Some of them are crazy fast. Bigger kids with faster toys lol.

We have that one in red. It's been working for years.......started out as my daughters first. It's been rolled a bunch of times lol
My friend has a few for his kids that he made an adapter to use his drill batteries. But I've been meaning to ask him because they have a quad that I know he did something else to because it's damn fast. My son crashed it the other day lol He was cranking towards a very steep embankment. Got a few feet from it and just bailed lol we saw him jump straight up and then everything went over the edge. We ran up and saw him climbing back up the hill one shoe off and saying he landed it. We gathered everything up and then he was asking to ride the pretty modified KX 65

A couple months back he crashed his pedal bike and took the handle bars to the belly. I told him if he's definitely crashing just push it away. Get away from the wreck. He's gonna be tough

I think 3 is fine. Probably about when we got that for my daughter.
I don't trust the seat belt though. Jump out and get away from the wreck.

@manfredo that has the controller too. It can be driven remotely like an RC car. You can remotely regulate the speed and shut down if needed. Very safe if the parents are there actually watching them. My kids only rolled it because they where trying to pull wheelies or go over rocks like a big jeep lol

I was thinking the car for the 3 1/2 y.o. They say ages 3 and up. They even have remote controls now so the parents can supervise.
I bought one for my girls kid back 30 years ago. I think that was a power wheels, and I think he was 4. He use to ride on the 4 wheeler with me all the time too. I nearly killed him a few times!
What I should do is buy some really annoying loud toys, like a drum set, and some horns...maybe play power tools that make noise, just to annoy my sister! Her nickname was "the brat". Moms favorite, the youngest, and the most spoiled by far.
