Blaze & Daze

Fall is definitely in the air today. Nice cool temps and I'm going to start wacking down all the perennials in my garden and I have a lot of new allium and asiatic lily bulbs to plant. Rooting for frost so I can go ahead and plant my garlic for next spring too.

What is with country music infecting rock and pop music. So annoying.

Dialed Drunk and Mercy Mercy are showing up in all the playlists. I can't skip that crap fast enough. If you're playing a banjo or a fiddle it's not a rock song.



While I'm at it... we were at Queens of the Stone Age concert last month... They have this song Emotion Sickness that I can't stand. Sounds like it was pulled right out of the 70's. You hear No one Knows and Emotion Sickness and it didn't even sound like the same band. I took that as an opportunity to get refreshment refills.

I saw the Jefferson Starship with him when they played the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. This is what it looked like:
 
I have a good friend that is an amazing guitar player.
He only plays bluegrass though.
I don't much care for bluegrass so I never go to any of his gigs, don't have the heart to tell him why, I just plead poverty.
For my taste only one or two decent songs come out a year, some years no good music comes out at all.
99.9 % of modern music is just pablum for the masses.

I found a new artist that I love and would love to see her in concert. She's going to be close enough 11/9
