Tis a -3C Hump Day morning here on The Shores.

The girls probably have 2 more weeks left in VEG. Gonna try to fill in the open gaps in the upper portion of the Diesel (on the right) and try to extend the side branches further past the perimeter of the buckets:

... then we flip.

My 2 x 4 has been dark and lonely since mid August

Looking back through some old photos on the weekend. It's no mystery why a trimmer was purchased in 2019. There was a temptation to build a greenhouse over top of the monster plant, but the market viability didn't support it - so it perished unfinished in late November. Smaller/earlier finishing varieties preferred for next year. Light deprivation would be cool too, but lots of work.

Good morning, happy Wednesday for those that observe it.
The weather here has been very nice, winters in Tucson do not suck.
The new crop is coming along It looks like it's about time to up-pot most of the girls.
Top row left to right, Unicorn poop regular, GDP fast, Godfather OG, Macaroon x Gazurple. Bottom row left to right, Slusherz, Gazurple s1, Back to the future 2 auto, Mountain mint x Humboldt pound cake. I'm really hoping the Unicorn poop is a male. I would love to make some seeds.

Morning all. Closing in on some kind of harvest but my watering system is giving me fits. Half.this tent has been struggling and it seems to be from buildup on nutrient plaque inside the pipes that gets dislodged and washed into the manifold heads, but only one out of 2 so half the tent is fine the other half not so much. I've been using Drip Clean in my res which is supposed to prevent this. After this tent is finished I'm going to take everything apart and see what's what. A couple years of coontinuous use may have resulted in substantial buildup.

The well watered ones look pretty done. Day 63, I'll give them another week.20241113_081642.jpg20241113_082010.jpg20241113_084422.jpg20241113_085631.jpg

black widow spiders.
I got bitten by one on my hand, it hurt clear up into my shoulder, I killed it though. My mom had some Benadryl on hand and gave me some to take, don't know if it helped any. Those are some bad bitches...there are plenty around here. You can tell their web because it is almost as strong as fishing line. I read they used to use it for the crosshairs in scopes, not sure if that is true.
Mornin.

When my son was about 10 him and his friends showed me a jar with some black widows in it. They were like "hey are these black widows"? Yes, yes they are. They had caught them in our basement door well. We had an infestation.

They seem to be attracted to mechanical things, like under car hoods or inside AC units but I have seen them anywhere they can hide during the day also.

I want to laugh because it sounds like something I would do and have done maybe not with black widows I think they were brown recluses lol

I leave for 5 minutes and he helped me out View attachment 5439347don't you know got this text at 8:00 a.m. View attachment 5439348 oh yeah did I mention the Panic was or is he's got an 80 inch 85 inch TV coming this afternoon lol got to love them

I can smell that first picture. I haven't smelled it since my daughter discovered she could 'cook' her Barbie. With the brilliant combination of the electronics experimentation kit and her Barbie, and a few other moderately conductive things she put together. First electrical smell, then plastic, then the breaker pops, "Da'ad, Barbie smells, and the lights went out."

Me: "Smells like youth discovering electricity."

Age 6 was so much fun. The child survived herself to help dad 8 years later.

Mrs. S. has some Stingray music through one of the Express Vu music stations playing to drown out the sound of the landscaping equipment making a racket next door. My desk is in the basement directly below the TV and from the bassline only, I try to guess what song is playing. (Why yes ... some people DO call me Maurice!)

And I have had enough of the "How To" technical procedure re-writes for one day. It's pretty remarkable to see all of the incorrect steps in some of those technotes crafter by supposed SME's. It's a good thing that shit hasn't hit the fan ... cause some of those recovery steps won't bring the servers back.

So, the time has come to put those fingers to better use ...
