Nice call!! TY for the tip!! I want one of those smart ballasts from solis.....I just basically threw away an Ipower 600W digital dimmable.......They have the worst RF emission in the business....its a paperweight to me now....

to hang the lights .............just build a frame out of pipes and joints

this will allow u to make it in anyway u want so the lights hang where u want and the filters plus anything else

u can use Pvc or go for steel

Actually Mylar works pretty good a blocking IR leaks. Funny story. When I use to work at a hydro store (own one now) there was a product called Easy Grow Light Tite. Well one day I picked up a roll that was sitting around for a while and noticed it was pealing. LOL it was Mylar glued to Back and White Polly. I showed the store owner and was told to keep quite.

Couple of things. Using any of the IR blocking products that are film based will increase the heat in your room as the IR is retained in the room. Also just make sure the bulbs are far from the film as the bulbs will heat up the plastic which will transfer the heat to the other side. So the plastic itself gets hot.

Now you can go crazy with insulation and IR blocking but all I would have to do is get a Flir gun or a nice IR Thermometer and point it at your hydro meter. As electricity goes through the hydro meter I can tell how much power you are using but the temperature of the meter/wires.

Also plexi glass is a good IR blocker.

He sounds like he's being very deliberate for sure. Kinda goes from 45 rpm to 33 rpm when he tells one to use a drryyeeerrr veeennnt. Good info though. As a contractor i've seen hvac guys look for areas of thermal loss. Neat how easily you can see studs, plumbing and wiring behind drywall with the more sensitive units.

their is 3 places to vent from safe..........it gives them no reason for a warrent

1 dry vent
2 chimme
3 sewer gas vent (not sure in city but septic tank homes have one) it is that white pipe u see on the roof

seeing hot gases/air coming out of those points on a flair is normal and are not a reason to apply for a warrent...............

They would need a warrant in the US to FLIR your home to begin with.

Cops are crooked. They can't use the flir evidence to obtain a warrant, however they use it to find targets or confirm their suspicions prior to them going full retard on you with extreme investigation.

exactly, and in Texas if they get a hint of a grow they will be at your house walking around with dogs and looking at your meter check your utilities and if they are higher then your neighbors they will get the warrant and they will stop by

Yeah, I realize they can.. but I've never heard of people being busted who didn't do something majorly wrong like make the whole neighborhood smell like dank or deal drugs out of the house.

The only thing I don't agree with there is the electrical usage. No judge will grant a warrant based on power you've legally purchased. I use more than average even without a grow going on. I keep my A/C low!

But yeah.. I get it. You don't wanna give them any leads. Especially in a non MMJ state like Texas, I'm sure.

I dunno fellas. I've known many cops over the years and around here they'd rather be catching burglars. I guess it all depends on your level of justified paranoia. =P

then you aren't from Texas are you? and yes judges will grant them warrants based off an outrages electric bill, the electric bill for a 5k house with veg lights ac and fans would be over 2000 dollars...

your utility bill ever been over a grand? A street cop bust a grow house in Texas, that would make their career.
when i say grow house i mean 4 X 1000watt lights plus, fill up every bedroom sleep in the living room type houses.

and one of the tell tell signs is the meters that spin... with a grow house it looks like your meter could take off and fly its spinning so fast.

No, I'm not in TX, and like I said, in a non-MMJ state like TX the paranoia probably runs higher. It's all relative. TX is not representative of the entire US.

I've easily doubled the average usage without a grow, and up to 4x with. The only thing that has happened was I got a letter from the power company with tips on how to save electricity once years ago.
