Finally someone poses the exact same question that I have back in June and not a single reply. I need to know about these products at bcnorthernlights.com but unfortunatly this was this guys one post obviously nobody answered his questions. So hey Jammin if youre out there let me know how what your decision was, or is. I'm having a hard time finding any feedback on these products from this company. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. If you think 3500 is expensive they have packages that go up to 24,000 dollars that supposedly produce up to 30 pounds in 10 months. If stealthyness and lack of tools, and workspace do happen to be a problem then would it be a good idea to go with one of their packages?I have been eying the bloom box and fell into this thread looking for a review.
Although it is expensive, I think with 32 cubic feet of growing room would yield say what.. like 1/2 oz per plant or more depending on strain. With 9 plants thats 4+ ounces (more likely 6+), I always like to round down and prepare for the worst and when the best happens its always a smiler. So in my neck o' the woods, 1z = $250-$400 depending again on strain. so say 5z x $325 = $1,625 of course minus that 1z you need to "test sample" so really each 'crop' would bring @ $1,300. Now said expensive machine (Bloom Box), has no construction necessary. Is light tight and (supposedly) odor free.
I have had a 1,000 watt sodium halide and ballast, both brand new in the box,
sitting in my closet, collecting dust for over 10 years. I finally sold it on craig's list. The reason I never used it: Smell. There was absolutely no way in hell, living where I do, (6 unit apartment building), old electrical wiring, neighbors very close, etc. I even had a friend who grows for some of the local cannabis clubs come by and give me his opinion on growing stealthy where I am at. He recommended not to..
So here I am, too surely to want to work for someone younger then myself, needing to make some cash to fuel my dreams, like having a house someday, etc.
So by my guesstimate.. and I may be completly off base, it seems like a 8 week cycle?! So that means every two months, so at the end of a year you get 6 cycles x $1,300 = $7,800 .
Now, it begins to look more feasible.. Initial money has been paid, remaining costs for nutrients, electricity etc.. will be minimal.
I can, at the end of the year decide that, damn this works great, consumes low power and doesn't raise the eyebrows of neighbors or apartment visitors and reduces the risk of electrical induced fires via shoddy electrical work. And then buy a second unit with the profit and start a savings account.
Someone talk me out of this with logic and reason and building one myself would be a lot of time consuming, taxicab using (I ride a motorcycle) and very obvious to the roommate (although hes been a friend for many years and smokes). I just like following the simple rule of less people that know the better!
Please wise ones reply and tell me my logic is flawed before I spend the initial cash.

Hey hey,Finally someone poses the exact same question that I have back in June and not a single reply. If stealthyness and lack of tools, and workspace do happen to be a problem then would it be a good idea to go with one of their packages?
I noticed there is a "package deal" on the BC web site. One bloombox and one dryer. $1,700 of freebies to make it an 'all-u-need' package. However I did not see a pic of the clone chamber nor a mention of it in the PDF specs. Also No Price. But following a link to their US dealers, (pun intended), I deduced that one bloombox + one dryer = $3,700 US Dollars. yikes. I can guess the price of all the ph equipment and solutions and rockwool, has got to bring the price to $4,000. So with that figure in mind and not counting the 6 amps and 2 amps of electricity required for each unit to function in the ON position.
That said: here's my math:
2 months = 9 plants
9 = 1->2 Lbs
keeping the low number:
1 = 16oz
16 = 128 1/8oz
128 x 45 = 5,760
5,760 = 2 months
That more then pays for its first use, I bet even adding in the electricity! And $45 in my neck of the woods is cheap!!
So with a full years worth of freebies (the package deal), the only additional cost, as I see it, would be for electricity.
But also remember that:
-$4,000 (initial output)
+$5,760 (low-ball estimate of one 2 month cycle)
--------
+$1,760
-$ 760 (product testing)
--------
+$1,000
Then each month up to the year (5 more cycles)
$5,760
x 5
-------
+$28,800
-$ 3,800 (product testing)
---------
+$25,000
+$ 1,000 (1st month profit)
----------
+$26,000
Wow, if we lived in a perfect world, an additional $25k to anyones yearly salary would help some to stay above poverty level!
But alas, even in California where local governments laws are a bit more relaxed, where as federal Laws still are adamant about classifying things heavy handedly.
Landlords improving our electrical circuits this year at some point. I will do some measurements and decide then if it's conducive to growing stealthy-style.

Hey Red,DO NOT GET THE BLOOMBOX .. get the producer has 18 plants and yeilds about 36-40 oz .. but you have to get co2 . if u do get producer . u need co2 tank, and clones from a buddy .....i get mine for 10$ already rooted in big cubes .... so i have no down time . but u still need to buy a coupl of things ..... u need better light bulbs ..and ph pen and ppm pen ... or tri meter . u need to buy a bucket and couple of lil things(fans etc....) ..... what we notice . the biggest problem with theses machines is the noise .... the fans when lights are on make a hum and the rock for roots also make a hum .... so if u have people below u ....watch out ...also another thing is there no fan inside the box ...which there should be one .... so for heat problem we used a couple fan out side to keep temp down ... need to be 83-88 or plants plants 100 % .... look for more from REDDFACTOR
if anyone has plans to get this machine and has questions ...feel free to ask
ps i will be posting pictures soon
Yeah. Dealing is stupid. Dealing as a grower is even more so. Selling eighths as a dealer is asking to get caught and abused anally.Yeah, and when you get busted for growing and dealing the state pays for everything!!!!
