I don't think they are deep enough to flower more than a plant or 2 anyway. I plan to use them both as cloners for now. I still need to figure out what to do once the clones are ready to go in the flower room. There are a few different ideas still floating around in my head. It will probably end up being what I can afford at the time. I'd like to stay in bubbles, but it might be cheaper to just go get a bag of soil for now. We'll have to see what happens. My concern would be leaks from all those holes below the water line. Never seen that before, but I sure hope that silicon sealant holds tight for you thru all your grows.
And I am concerned if they are deep enough?????
Are they perking up yet?
I have been... I think I need to be a little more diligent about it though.A plant with no roots can not eat food in the water or drink water either. That is why we foilage feed them, until they do get roots.
It's been 8 days since I cut them. You're welcome to follow along so I can show you what not to do!!Cph, How long have you been rooting them ? They look like their still doing o.k., I have a plant that was bent beyond repair and I'm thinking about taking a few clones off it before it's too late , so I'm watching yours to see how it would go...good luck Cph.
Like I said I'm pron to stupid newbie mistakes... I probably misunderstood the info I received on this matter. When I asked a fellow bubblehead what he did, he said he started them at the manufactures recommended dose for cuttings/seedlings. He probably meant after he saw roots. That nasty water was not helping any. I thought everyone knew you have to use pure clean water to clone. Since they don't have roots, they can not eat anyway.
Just think if I would've got it right the first time I would've had roots a week and a half ago.You have roots!
next time, use smaller cuttings with less leaves.
That makes sense. I was thinking the opposite I guess. I thought they would provide a source of nutrients if needed. Thanks for the input!!Yes, there is a reason. Just common cloning knowledge, my granny used to clone violets. But she ony cloned one leaf instead of an entire branch or stem of leaves.
A large plant with many leaves has to use its energy to just stay alive, and support those leaves with life-energy. A smaller plant with only two leaves can spend its energy making roots.
