Blue Cheese - rusting, curling and dying leaves - detailed pics

BACKGROUND:

I started these Big Buddha Blue Cheese a month ago today.

They are were in 5inch pots until about 3 days ago when they were transplanted into 15L pots. They were totally rootbound in the old pots.

They grew fine the first two weeks or so but in the last 10 days or so have taken a turn for the worse.

Before repotting the lower leaves were beginning to turn yellow/brown and this has now spread in a similar way to the newer leaves on all Blue Cheese's.

The new growth is nice, green and healthy looking but as the new growth matures it seems to get brown at the tips which then works its way over the whole leaf and then ends up drying out, curling up and dying.

I have a Blue Widow in this grow which apart from it's first leaves yellowing is doing fine and isn't showing this browning/dying of the leaves.

I started feeding them about a week ago around 1/4 strength (or less) with bio grow as the lower leaves were yellowing on all plants.

The feeding doesn't seem to have helped really but it's in such small quantities that I'm confused. It could be they need a full dose to help them recover or it could be they need flushing???

It has been getting too hot in there so lights have been raised to around 24 inches or more.

SETUP:
> 1.2mx1.2mx2m tent
> 600w dual spectrum light
> seedling soil (i.e no nutes) 70% + perlite 30%
> 4" extractor with carbon filter
> small fan inside tent
> BioBizz Bio Grow (8.0-2.0-6.0)
> temps: lowest 60
highest 90+
> humidty: around 30% usually

I heard blue strains are generally more sensitive to nutes. Do you think they could be nute burnt even at such low doeses of an organic fert?

How much do you water, are you using any nutes?

As I mentioned, I started fertilising about a week ago using around 1/4 strength bio bizz bio grow.

I water when the soil is almost dried out totally with around 500ml of good quality tap water.

you say your soil has no nutes. what kind is it?

john innes seed compost.

just checked the website of the company i got it from and noticed this in the description:

• Contains essential plant nutrients and trace elements
• The ideal compost for good root development and healthy growth
• John Innes formulation aids the steady release of essential nutrients and moisture to plants

So basically that's saying they've added nutes!?

I would hold off on the nutes for a while. they look burned. just phed water for a week or so.

yeah!!!don't try to flush that would just release more nutes..just give it water when she's thirsty for about two to three weeks from here on out...she'll pull out of it!!

Who makes this shit anyway! I was walking around the shop looking at the huge choice of soil. None of it was just plain and simple soil! Everything had some kind of fertiliser added. I chose this as it didn't state anywhere on it that there was added nutrients and you'd assume for seedlings they wouldn't add any!
Last time I buy soil from your standard garden centre...

you should try light warrior!!!..it's perfectly mild.

ez m8 where do u get light warrier from.i always have a ph problem when repotting..or a soil with no nutes or as less as poss.cheers
