Blue Dream bag seeds from random guy.

I hate the idea of investing in a grow with unknown seeds. A close friend gave me some alleged Blue Dream seeds that he got out of a bag of "middie Blue Dream". I am highly skeptical but am willing to add one or two plants into the fold and keep the better female if any and see where it goes.

In a perfect scenario someone was growing Blue Dream from seed and maybe pulled males out too late OR there was a hermie that pollinated the batch. Mistakes happen and it's not like the weed can't be sold. If it was a hermie then the seeds should be feminized but still of good strain strength right?

Any way to tell early on if a plant is just bunk?

No, the seeds from a hermie are NOT feminized. It is reckoned that plants grown from hermie seeds are more likely to hermie as well.

How do you define "bunk"?

I wouldn't grow hermie seeds man ur asking for trouble their and female plants can produce seeds still even if make is pulled out in time, it's the last and final effort for repop just like how female makes the buds to reproduce. So u can get a fesse seeds outa a batch of femal buds but not always. Bag seeds can be good shit if u grow better then the pereeoson who grew and sold it, u neveerr know way their setup was and if u kepeep plants all well then your turnout could be much better smoking

sometimes i found seeds in the buds that i grew even thought they re not hermies, i know because i read plants daily to give food, insect for pest or fungi etc and in the end of harvest , i checked for chiop. the female plant will keep hope to get a pollen , then the pistills recede into caylx that they have no abilites to receive pollen anymore and it will self seed in order to surivial. Its quite normal, guys.
