I bought this meter about a month ago but just started to use it now. everything works i guess but the reading are inaccurate. does anyone els have this meter? the nutradip tri meter (cant run because digital ballasts) measures to the T, this seems to just give suggestions.

the meter shuts off before it takes PH
inaccurate PH by .1-.3 sometimes even up to 1 but usually it takes 10 min to give an estimate (i calibrated right before i do all the tests)
PPM just seems fucked, totally different from the other 2 meters but sometimes it give a number thats believable but different from my other READINGS (it doesn't calibrate)
Temperature works perfect
so far im choked i bought this pile, get same readings with a fish tank tester. has anyone had good results? I need something to accurately test, if this is capable then i will warranty it if i can.

I have the bluelab combo meter and it's been working perfectly. Maybe it's possible you got a defective unit. Definitely try to get a replacement and give it a chance before you decide to get something else.

Is this the Blue Lab Trunchean meter? If so, they're supposed to be extremely accurate as well as fuss free.

My guess would be that it is not exactly "new". I dunno how most shops work, but I was in the one I go to. It's an HTGsupply. And I witnessed the guy use one of the ones for sale in the glass case to test the pH of a compost tea display. What struck me as odd about this, is that it had a "new" price tag on it, and they were trying to get nearly $300 for it (hanna 98129). What's bad, is that they probably do this fairly often. Causing un-due wear and tear on the item, all the while knowing they will pass it on to some unfortunate sole who belives the hydro store guys bullshit....

Focus: Be leary of what you buy. Look at the item in the store, decide which you want, and order a brand new one from an online dealer.....

This is very true and ive seen it happen to, this might not be the case but either way its a posability.
If you are in the warranty time line and your store wont help you then i would contact blue lab and
Report the shops action and return direct to them

Have you calibrated it?

I have one and it is flawless. I rely heavily on my meters and BlueLabs is the best so far.

It gets calibrated every month though.

No disrespect Hannah. None at all. I have three of yours in storage. And they work great in there.

Calibrate that badass sumbitch and use it!

Bluelab are very good meters one of the best, ive got the combo and its great never had any probs whatsoever. If you think its dodgy take it back to where you got it from, to say bluelab are a pile and inaccurate isnt true of a fully working bluelab meter there one of the most accurate bits of kit you can get.

Hi, I use the Milwaukee 101 meter, and have found that if I don't use Milwaukee's test solution, the meter is off... If I use General Hydroponics solution, the 7 reads 7.5, and the 4 reads 4.5... I don't know if this helps anyone but it sure Ticked me off when I wondered why my meter was fine for several months and then checked it with GH's Stuff and almost ruined a crop... I was just lucky to have some milwaukee test solution bags around to check it out... (bought a large bottle of each 4 and 7 of GH's stuff)

I don't trust their General Hydroponics PH Up or PH Down either, as it seems that the strength from one bottle to the next seems to differ widely...

I had a bad pH stick from Blue Lab. I wrote them and email and they sent me a brand new better pH meter.
