Nobody.!I've been using BMO's line for the past few years, and I always get great results with it. Plain and simple, it works, it's made from good stuff, and it's affordable. If you live in an apartment like me, you don't have a place to keep all the ingredients for the DIY thing.
I did get these folks that hate on other growers, who use bottle nutes and supps.
FYI, I logged onto ebay a few minutes ago, and BMO has their 4 bottle combo pack for $ 5 off the regular price. Who else has a well made 4 bottle deal out there for $ 21 plus shipping.

Damn! The fuzz?! Who are the fuzz on here? Do you really think those little fucking weasels are on here trying to rob, kidnap, or murder us! Fuck the rats! We need to end the war on drugs and all the faggot narcs should have to Work Hard Labour ten hour days out in the evil Hemp fields! Then maybe they would respect their time and money and other citizens.I spent a good while trying to figure out why there are bottled nute threads in the organics section. Then I realized the poster has a naked photo of herself from the "glory" days posted up on a site full of young men and the fuzz. I understand why people want to buy bottles of organic nutes over chemical ferts. But it really is a bit blasphemous, and P's frustration is entirely understandable. This is an insult to real organic farmers and those who strive to make our world a better place through the age-old practice of creating a healthy & diverse ecosystem in their dirt. Stop being lazy and talking about how you don't have time. If your understanding of organic gardening is that shallow after 42 years then you are probably better off finding another hobby to devote too little time to. There is plenty of information on this website to teach you the basics of organic gardening. 3 books I suggest you read are The Secret Life of Plants, Teaming With Microbes, and Square Foot Gardener. These won't teach you the end all be all concepts of organic gardening but they'll set your roots in a great foundation for you to learn and develop more as an organic gardener. You will also understand why people are getting on your case for this. I will gladly share my soil mix with you, and I'm positive there are plenty of folks on this website that will help you along the way.
best of luck
I use dirt and worms and compost. The only things that I've bought for my soil are SOS, Earth Juice Rainbow Grow, and tons of coco coir. I bought SOS and EJ's Rainbow Grow because I wanted to insure that I had the appropriate fungi and bacterias to start my soil and I will never have to buy them again because they are now living in my soil. Coco coir is for making better aeration in my dirt/vermicompost, and it results in about 1.5x as fast of a veg when compared to peat based soils (for me anyways). So until you start building Truly Organic Soil that is not bought ingredients then you should stop talking shit to the people who may Literally Not have the time, space, or money to build their own soil and rely on Good united States Companies who provide Great Quality products for Low prices.!
haha yeah me too. ilike your setup, and thats interesting about the faster veg.! I Am making a worm bin, farm, tower as you say which i like the idea of... but soon i will be making that.I use dirt and worms and compost. I think Sub and all of these rockstar growers are just tools for the companies trying to sell you their nutrients/dirt at insane prices. It's just big business cashing out on your hobby.
I mean Roots seems to have a decent product from what I've seen in other people's grows, but $30 for a 1.5 cubic foot bag of dirt?.... come on... especially when all but one of their soil lines contains livestock manure... lol.
In my opinion the best dirt for growing buds comes from coco coir, your backyard, a worm tower, compost, and optionally some beneficial microbes/fungi if your soil is lacking. Anyone who follows a truly organic mode of operation for their grow commands my respect. But whatever, I'm just a crazy person anyways.
nice! i really like it! thats where i would like to be... i mean damn your worm castings are already fed some really good nutrients, so i guess you dont.I have pretty diverse compost and two worm towers, one of which is vegan (aside from egg shells), the other omnivorous. The omnivorous one rarely receives dairy and the majority of the meat is fish and any other animal product is either bones or doggy poo. My results have gotten better with each new harvest. I have been experimenting with one of my beds and have increased the amount of coco:earthworm casting ratio from 1:2 to 5:6. I brew EWC tea to supplement for their lack of available nutrient in the soil. After week 1 of veg they really took off past my other veg plants.
That being said, I do not amend my soil other than some good old homepooped vermicompost. I use only carbon filtered water which I put through a waterfall type recirculation system (made from my old and obsolete deep water culture setup... teehee, I know, I'm guilty). After reading The Secret Life of Plants I really am convinced that a healthy biodiverse soil with healthy plants will transmute any deficiencies it may have.
I forgot to mention that I do layer the bottom of my beds with rocks. Whether they are home depot decorative stones, or stone chips that you pick up from some construction contractor, your plants' roots will be soooo happy about it. Plus you will be watering your babies more than you would have ever dreamed of, allowing for slightly more rapid nutrient uptake. I also have never flushed my soil, I've never had problems with harsh fruit tastes or black ash after harvest
Haha alchemy. A lot of research is pointing towards the direction that many organisms can create the nutrients they are lacking from other minerals via organic processes. Not sure if it's true or if my ladies just have enough of what they need available to themnice! i really like it! thats where i would like to be... i mean damn your worm castings are already fed some really good nutrients, so i guess you dont.
transmute?
any pictures of your girls?Haha alchemy. A lot of research is pointing towards the direction that many organisms can create the nutrients they are lacking from other minerals via organic processes. Not sure if it's true or if my ladies just have enough of what they need available to them
Not yet. Maybe one day peppers will be acceptable in these parts. After running conventional hydroponics, conventional soil and organic soil for some time, I have definitely seen the most stable results from organic soil and the current "organic soilless" method.any pictures of your girls?
ok, not to beat a dead horse, but if i recall correctly you added a WHOLE lot of stuff nobody recommended, and had problems with not aging your soil long enough, so don't blame us for giving you incorrect adviceDamn! The fuzz?! Who are the fuzz on here? Do you really think those little fucking weasels are on here trying to rob, kidnap, or murder us! Fuck the rats! But I hear ya, but Honestly MOST of the damn "organic" "build your own" soil is Not even that! It's roots organic, and great white, and whatever company you wind buying the ingredients from. I mean sub cools super soil is Not even build your own, its all Trademarked Branded materials! I just made my new soil After wasting money on All the stupid ammendments everyone said to get, and the soil I just made I made Completely For Free from all resources around me.!
So until you start building Truly Organic Soil that is not bought ingredients then you should stop talking shit to the people who may Literally Not have the time, space, or money to build their own soil and rely on Good united States Companies who provide Great Quality products for Low prices.!
They are just like the people packaging your kelp, alfalfa, yada yada that you BUY from the store or online! But they are just making it All together for the people who Want it all together in one.
Honestly I question whether I should have just stuck with BMO and Just upgraded my lights.!
Hahaha I love you brother! Hahaha! I Am just saying i would read this and that and about everything everyone said i should get i bought thinking i Needed it for the girls, but realizing as Everyone told me Less is Best that i wasted lots of money and time in creating the organic soil with all the amendments.ok, not to beat a dead horse, but if i recall correctly you added a WHOLE lot of stuff nobody recommended, and had problems with not aging your soil long enough, so don't blame us for giving you incorrect advice
nice i hear ya. yeah North Carolina does Not like cannabis, but Thank GOD we have been coming around.!!! Nice setup though i like it.Not yet. Maybe one day peppers will be acceptable in these parts. After running conventional hydroponics, conventional soil and organic soil for some time, I have definitely seen the most stable results from organic soil and the current "organic soilless" method.
I don't really classify the current setup as soil, the coir provides so much aeration in the soil that I am about ready to use a timed drip or ebb & flow system.
I will say that dwc creates big plants much quicker, but they lack a stable medium, and the fruit is never as high quality as what I get from organics.
Two bottled nutrients that I have played around with in the current setup are roots exelurator and terpinator. Both were fairly negligible, which shocked me because of the results they provided in hydro, and the pilot plant that I didn't flush out was a bit harsher fruit. All in all, I'm really impressed with the combination of coco coir, intensive organics, and a "living" water system.
I have started runnung comparison tests with adding blackstrap molasses to my ewc water and bubbling it for 24 hours before watering the late veg/early bloom babies. And I'm probably going to start adopting this method for all of the ladies that aren't in their last 3 weeks of maturity.
I gotcha man, just seemed like you were thinking our (collective) advice wasn't accurate.Hahaha I love you brother! Hahaha! I Am just saying i would read this and that and about everything everyone said i should get i bought thinking i Needed it for the girls, but realizing as Everyone told me Less is Best that i wasted lots of money and time in creating the organic soil with all the amendments.
Haha definitely most everybody told me to cut back the ratios, but mostly said the receipt was okay, just to cut back on certain things, which i did. And the stuff extra i added would always be from everything around, when i would see something new i would be like oh i need that, so that's why i said what "everybody told me to buy".
I Am just saying that because after buying everything, all the things that people told me to as well, i just realized that i should have kept it simple and done what i was thinking to begin with which is what i just did with the sand, clay, yada yada, i just figured oh well i guess to have the best i need to have all this stuff.
So yes it is definitely All my fault, but just saying even though everyone told me to get amendments, i have realized that most of those nutrients are present in the resources available around me. i Definitely fucked up, and i do regret purchasing so much as i did and mixing Everything like i did, but i also would Not change Any of it.! i Thank THE LORD i went through everything i have over the past two to three months because it has allowed me to Really Understand Organics much better, and it allowed me to realize i Needed to upgrade my lights and grow.!
Just say what i said because looking back i realize i could have just kept my pro mix and used bmo and adjusted ph and would be perfectly fine, BUT i would Not have realized my Lights were what was severely lacking.
not bad prices! but..no one knew how to make their own lights, either, but in the end, we all make our own soil, ewc, and now, lights, lol
all four bottles for $23.63. i would not call that overpriced. they don't manufacture or sell soil. Plant tonic by itself is 7.65. i would not call that overpriced either. Most people don't make or know how to make their own soil.
haha ilike this...but also you are not Technically making the lights. you are Assembling the parts, at least the electrical components. you dont blow the glass for the lamps do you? or mine the copper or even just refine the copper and make thin tiny strands...? you dont drill the oil to make the plastics that cover the wire do you?not bad prices! but..no one knew how to make their own lights, either, but in the end, we all make our own soil, ewc, and now, lights, lol
