Blue mystic/ Fast bud(auto)/IL Diavolo(auto)

alrighty, I will more than likely be posting on here more I was and still am a member of Cannabis.com but the new changes to their site make it more of a hassle than a convenience to get on the site.... so F THAT.

ok, on the Blue mystic I am on day....36 from seed I started off with ten seeds from nirvana and am down to 5 plants. I should be seeing their sex really soon I culled the other 5 throughout their growth for various reasons...weak pheno, illness...ect. I have 1 in hydro bucket with 3 air stones in it now from a industrial 45lpm pump. and the other 4 are in soil in 4.1gal pots. I am using a organic soil with no time released nutes mixed with perlite and vermiculite to help with drainage. I am watering them only when needed( by tilting the buckets to check the weight of the bucket with water vs. when in need of water) I am using pure blend pro gro at 100% strength on the BM every other feeding or sometimes even less than that only when they show signs of needing nutes.I also use liquid Karma at 50% since it is really strong.. I used it the first feeding after I flush or do water change, then wont use it again until the next time I flush. I am keeping the PH of the soil around 6.2-6.6 and the hydro at 5.5-5.9. I decided to try a different method of topping on my plants... it is one that someone taught me. Rather than topping and leaving it alone... I have been doing a topping method and topping every time I can. Everytime I get soem new growth I top it, this will get the plant to turn into a bush rather than tree. I am going to veg until my auto's are done which should be another 7-8 weeks.

As for my auto's
Fast bud and IL diavolo. I started germing them in damp paper towels on the 1st of march and only 2 popped out of 4 seeds... I have since put them in peat pellets and then into their final home which is the 4.1 gal buckets with organic soil, they are sitting in the room with my BM under a 400w hps light. I will soon switch it to MH( my MH bulb broke in shipping and they are sending me out another one so I have been running my hps light instead to get them used to HID) I am running the lights 18/6

Temps- 72 at night and 78-82 during lights on
Humidity- stays around 30-40% raises to around 45-55 for a day or two after watering the lowers again

here are some pics... now as far as the topping goes.. you can see the two different methods...picture 1 has been topped and topped often where as pic 5 I topped it after it had already gained 4 major nodes and you can see the difference....also, since I am going to let them veg for a good while I have been trimming them and thinning them out by taking clone cuttings and such. The really bushy one will be cut back tomorrow I Kept it this way to show you guys how bushy they get with this method before I cut her back

my auto seedlings are doing well, started to stretch a lil so i moved them closer to my light... I will post some pics of them tonight

Sometimes people are reluctant to post on journals. This can be a chronicle of your grow, while you could start a thread elsewhere for feedback.

I'm interested in how it goes...I grew FB and am into a fast flowering Blue Mystic and Speed Devil 2 grow. My FB was a fine plant til I scorched it with a hot dose, but it proved to be a decent producer and smoker. My Blue Mystic was a scrawny little seedling that I didn't expect to make it, but it did and has grown into quite a bush, and is flowering like a mad bastard with hair on fire.

how long did it take your BM to show sex? I figured I should know by now but nothing.... I am not going to force flower because I want a minimum of 18/6 for my two auto's I am now on week....5 going on 6 with my bm so now that I actually looked at a calendar I guess I can wait a few more days to a week and I should know hahaha... dur da durrrr and where did you get a fast flowering BM? I have never smoked the strain but I would be very interested in trying it out... the blueberry/skunk cross and low smell is what caught my attention. I can only imagine that these are going to become monsters because I am going to veg them for another 50 days or so... I will be trimming and taking cuttings from them in the meantime to keep them small...er and keep them managable.

I was on a 24/0 light schedule with my Speed Devil. I didn't pay much attention to my scraggly Blue Mystic until it got over its funk and got it in gear. Once it was growing well, I tied her down and went to 12/12. Preflowers indicated female, early on...but it did seem a little slow getting budding to take off. Now it's making amazing progress daily. It's a monster.

I'm just using a Kessil magenta LED light. That's 30w of light (6w fan), and it is astonishing to grow anything at all with such low wattage, much less buds. I could increase bud size with my supplemental induction bulbs, but everything is going well at the moment. At least for the BlueMystic, the SD2 seems to have stalled a bit since I went 12/12 and fed it the same bloom nutes as the BM (sativa phenotype, btw.)

I am thinking about just throwing all of my bm into 12/12 as the tallest one is close to 17 inches or so... I have some head room but not that much.. I may just grow the auto under a t12... I know that it will harm the yeild a lot but I need to get these bm going... I do not have the money for any bloom nutes right now... do you know how much it affects the plant to not have bloom nutes and just ph'd water at first? for the first 3 weeks or so of flower

I grow organically, so I depend on molasses and seaweed and epsom salts, etc. Green sand and rock phosphate and eggshells, too.

I read one thread about using African violet nutes. One thing you might try for cheap bloom nutes. BM is a heavy feeder they say, I don't know.

i would have to say that is prolly acturate on the feeding... my ladies eat 2-3 times a week... I only feed every other watering though.. but they seem to need water once every other day or two... so I end up feeding about 1-2 times a week. I might have to pick up some then.... thanks for the quick reply though. I will probably post some pics tonight of my ladies so that everyone can see how they are doing.. not that a whole lot of peeps look but hey, what the hell right?

I'm growing the exact same species man. Fast bud just got done and growing the speed devil #2 and my blue mystic is in flowering it is huge!

hey man im growing 3 fast bud and an il diavolo. they are all showing sex now at 4 weeks. all but one started at 3 weeks. they are small as hell too. short with lots of nodes. i hope they get bigger soon. its weird to see such a young plant flowering allready. this is my first time growing autos

My Il Diavolo is now 22"+ at 37 days. It has been growing 1 - 2 inches per day for the last week or 2. It is in a #3 smart pot and has been getting nutes pretty much every watering and only slight burn on some of the lower/older tips. She drinks it up and dries so fast that she has been getting 2 feedings per week and is on week 4 of flower nutes already. I think I am going to finally give her a rain/flush. I was hoping it was going to quit stretching but I don't think it helped when I switched my veg box from 18/6 to 20/4 recently.
