Blue Mystic Grow Journal

I have successfully grown and harvested a blue mystic, my first grow. I had it in a paint bucket using Hydroton for the medium. Even though it was in a hydro setup it only yielded a little over an oz. It was stunted from me changing light schedules due to different plants being in the area. I quickly put all my concentration on the blue mystic and she pulled through. Give them the time and effort and with the right conditions you should have a respectable harvest

no thread but i post pics of mystics in my photo album....first 2 are now in flower.other 7 just put on 12-12,...

The Blue Mystic usually recovers well from trauma, but like any other strains it will recover much quicker if enviroment is kept at optimal conditions.

Hey guys, we have some new pics up of the ladies. This is day 12 of vegging after the transplant into the oceanforest foxfarm soil. Once again we have an over the top view of each plant along with a side view. We topped two of the four plants and thats all we plan to top, just to see if it increases our yeild. Meg and Peter were the two that were topped.
The first two picks are of Peter
The next two are of Meg
The third two are of Brian
The final two are of stewie

The plants range from 2.5 to 3.5" so they are still small and we are waiting for them to take off.

They look fine.
If it was me I'd start giving them some food.

Note that Stewie is a bit droopy. Check for the pot weight next time you water it and hold on with the nutes with it - he still doesn't need any.

Ya, I take the pics right after we water them and we realized that after we watered him that he was droopy, before that he was pretty perky tho. Thanks for the feedback man, will def take it into account.

Hey buddy its easy to stress a lil watching your babies when they are most volnurable but let me say they look very in this stage just be careful with the watering let them get kind of dry before watering.also depending on your soil you may start some light grow nutes unless your soil has nutes...keep it up .. peace

we are growing in foxfarm oceanforest soil, the only reason the plants really look droopy in the pics is because I took the pics right after we had watered them. Do u think we should start a little bit of nutes tho on them still? we were going to try to wait till week 4, but do you think it will be benificial to do it now?
Also, one of the plants we topped about 5 days ago has one of the top set of fan leaves is starting to turn over, is that a nute problem? its not the whole fan leaf but one of the points on the fan leaf. any advice on what that means?

Yes you can start some light nute's on them be careful and watch your girls they will tell you if they like it or how much they need as for the one you topped this can be do to the stress from topping just keep your eye on it and see how it is recovering it usually takes about a week or so for them to fully recover..Peace

U jus got my beans in yesterday. I germed them n got a few to push the taproot out , in less than 24 hours. I was jus wondering from personal expericence about how long should I veg them for ? Thanks

Depends on how tall you want your plants to be and you should prolly wait to flower till you see preflowers. We are on day 17 of vegging and we plan to start flowering them in the next couple of weeks. I'm about to post some pics of what our plants look like so far, but if you have any other questions just let us know.

Hey guys, we just took pics of our ladies and they look great. We are not sure how much longer we are going to veg them, but prolly not longer then 2 more weeks. Right now they are a good 4.5-5" a peice except for brian who is 4" because we transplanted him the deepest. We have a top view and then a side view of each plant as usual...Along with the pics of the plant we also have a 2 side view pics of our setup.

The final two are of Meg
Remember Peter and Meg were both topped about a week ago and you can see the two top nodes on both of them, more so on Peter. Meg is growing a little odd, but we think it is still recovering from topping her, but also because she is leaning for light as se has been on the far left side of the light the past couple of days.

I want them no taller than 4ft . The bushy'ness of the plants isn't to important bc I can jus push the larger fanleaves in a direction I choose. I jus planted the seedlings so I got a couple days to plan the grow set up while they are comin threw the dirt. I also got some aurora indica seeds from a friend. I think I'm gunna keep them short also.

You should flower them when they start to touch each other.

For height control you could use supercropping, SCROG and\or LST.

I would give them at least 3-4 weeks more to veg.

The 150 hps by sun systems puts out 16000 lumen not 1600. I'm growing some BM with some Northern, AK and WT. W from Nirvana. This BM was started 1/11/10. I do not like how the plant grows. I am thinking about stepping up the nutes on it to see what happens.

I think I'm goin to try to grow one plant of each in wormcastings and perlite mix. To see the diffrence in plant growth

satic, you can use straight compost (that is well composted, like the ones sold in nurseries) with a bit of perlite. Cheaper and more effective.

however, it will kill young plants.

I'm subscribed. Can't wait to see how the griffins do. I'm getting a Blue Mystic clone in a few weeks.
