I'm not going to trash on chemical nutrient growing. I did it for many many years with really good results. But It was sorta like keeping the plants on life support the whole grow. I recently made the switch to organics and I couldn't be happier nor my plants. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I highly recommend you trying organic in the future. It's so much less of a hassle and it simplified growing so much for me. With organics your soil does the work for you

interesting. That very well could be what was going on. Nice job on figuring that out at checking it
Who knows I was pretty high when I thought that up haha. It could also just have been they needed a watering. Regardless I'm not gonna feed them any more nutes. Don't think its worth risking at this point. And both plants have been through so much stress already I think they deserve some good rest and recovery from here on out. Ill dial down the nutes on the next plant.

Oh yea I'm definitely gonna look up some organics when I'm back in the states. Would love to have it all now but it doesn't always work out that way.

Day 32:
We have good news today! Both plants seem to be making a good recovery from whatever it was that was afflicting them lol. They still have curling/clawing in the leaves but they have picked up a lot.

Now I need some help. To my untrained eye the pics below are showing signs of pre-flower. In the pics below I circled what I believe to be pistils. Anyone able to tell me if I'm correct? Also sorry for the quality.

Thanks for the help everyone!

What does that mean for me as a grower? Do I need to start doing anything? I'm assuming this mean the plants yields are more than likely just going to be the knowledge I got from the grow lol?
It means that your plants are sexually mature. Since it's a autoflower it means that flowing has begun. You don't need to do anything different. Nutes stay the same. It is best to begin using a flowering nutrient around the second week of flowering. You can get by with the nutrients you have but the high nitrogen tends to promote leafy buds and it effects flavor also

You do have some nutrient burn. If I was you I would do a feed, water, water, feed cycle. Starting with 1/4 strength of your nutrient lable recommendation. Around halfway into flowering I would crank it up to 1/2 strength on feed days. And maybe hit them with a full strength about week six before flush if they have been responding well to the 1/2 strength

Alright, I knew that it meant they had reached maturity, I just didn't know If anything other than nutes needed to be changed. I'll definitely do The F,W,W,F schedule on the next plants that I start. These two are going all water from here on out. Don't want more problems. I saw the nute burn on the tips. I'm watching it to see if the nute burn area grows larger. If it does i'll water a day early. Hopefully that'll flush it.

Nothing changes with autos besides nutrients. Same light schedule from start to finish.

No other changes. Lighting stays the same. Usually 18/6. What lighting hours are you using?

I've always used nutes as well, but I just started a new grow & I think I'm gna try using some organics that I just got called "general organics". Any input or suggestions??

Congratulations on making the switch you won't be let down. Just start with a good organic soil. Make sure your water is filtered or let it set out to evaporate chlorine so it doesn't kill soil microbes. Your soil life is the most important part of organics. The saying is feed the soil not the plant. I would add some molasses in your nutrient program as well

Take a look at my current grow journal "organic GDP, blue mystic and short ryder" is the title. I use a pretty simple organic method and I am having the best results I have ever had. Plants have never looked so healthy

Day 34:
Not much to update today. Both plants showing signs of growth. The nute burn on both plants doesn't seem to be spreading. I checked the soil yesterday morning because the plants started to droop, it seemed too dry to I water'd using only a gallon and a half between the too plants. Didn't want to run the chance of over-watering.

Day 38:
Plants are looking good! I'm starting to believe the plants weren't getting enough water using the the once a week method. I think my setup and all the variables are helping dissipate the water faster than expected. I'm going to compensate by giving both plants half a gallon every 4 days. We will see how that goes for now.

I just wish the NL would started growing taller. She is starting to get away from the light because the BM is growing too tall lol.

Day 42:
Good plant growth! The gallon every 4 days seems to be going well. They stopped drooping and have looked good since I started it.

They've made contact!

lol but for real though.

Ive noticed over that last week some weird damage to the leaves in a certain area of the NL. I've checked for bugs on the leaves and in the soil and haven't found anything. Also i think the areas of the leaves that are effected are also places where there used to be nute burn. Who knows.

I also want to add that I have been watching the affected areas and they haven't spread, and there are no areas on the BM that look similar.

@tripleD Back on page 3 theres a pic of the nutes i fed them but they both freaked out and twisted and curled so I wouldnt recommend it. I would say check your soil and make sure its moist. I noticed my BM drooped a lot when it got close to watering time at once a week. I water every 4 days now and the drooping has gone away. Yours looks like its fairly far into the flowering phase am I correct? I've read drooping is normal is the late flowering phase.
