Blue Planet Nutrients journal

Hello Jonny, i like your analogy of nutrients which is very true. I used GH for years which is a good line and very reasonably priced. I also tried AN for 4 runs a few years ago. Very expensive, too many products, and not a big enough yield change to stay with it. Idon't know exact numbers as I'm not done with 1st run using BP but i can tell you that I'm very impressed with results so far and hope to make it to end with the same smile on my face. Cost is very reasonable and much less expensive than most. I will be able to elaborate more on cost/yield when i finish run.

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgThanks good. Im glad your following journal and are impressed with BP as much as i am. I cant believe more people don't use it. Nitrogen makes chlorophyll which does photosynthesis. So you need this all through flower until the last couple weeks. The chlorophyll is what ultimately makes it taste and smell like grass or planty.

All flushed and back to feeding. Modifications of ebb and grow seem to be working well. Do not like this design as roots are matted down to bottom of bottom bucket where there is a thin layer of water that is circulated but never runs completely empty which is the problem. Cleaning reservoir every 2 weeks and keeping it clean as possible. I would usually slowly ramp up nutes but im following program to T. Blue Planet is treating ladies nicely as they are standing tall and looking lush green. Blue Planet Nutrients Liquid Seaweed is my favorite BP piece of the puzzle. It is loaded with many major plant nutrients as well as over 60 trace nutrients required by plants. Liquid Seaweed also contains alginic acid, vitamins, auxins, at least two gibberellins, and antibiotics. Liquid Seaweed acts as a plant Vitality Booster that seem to give the ladies a huge boost. Looking forward to home stretch.

Very nice explanation of nitrogen and chlorophyll! That makes perfect sense. Thanks sharing the wisdom.
Man, now I'm going to have to try the Liquid Seaweed. I used to be on another forum where BPN is pretty popular and remember someone saying the kelp they use is from some species that grows over a foot per day with hardly any light. So it must contain something special. I plan on getting that high yield kit that comes with it but was trying to wait til I run out of nutes. Oh man I just looked it up, its only 11 bucks for a quart, I'll just get that for now and then get the kit when I need to re-up. Thanks for all the help!

Yeah bpns shit is dirt cheap. grab a couple quarts of what ya need and you wont spend over 50 haha. shipping can get a little expensive but its never more that 10-15 and that was for the multi gallon pack i got.

No shit. I was just looking at their VitaBlue B vitamin supplement. I can buy a gallon of it for less than I can buy a single liter of AN's B 52. So either AN has an insane amount of overhead or people are suckers and they know it and are cashing in. But then again, BPN sells direct to customers, AN sells to distributors who sell to stores who then sell to end users so there are some middlemen involved. So maybe thats it. But then again, AN spends a lot of money on half naked girls, cartoonish artwork and all other kinds of crap that makes not one bit of difference to my garden, so of course they'll pass those costs on to their customers. BPN doesn't seem to do any of that gimmicky stuff. I hope they dont start. I dont want to pay for that. I just want nutes.

Yeah Big Mike has to line his pocket pretty well and how else do you think that guy can get girls like that. hahaha

But for real it just doesnt cost much to produce. Buying bulk chemicals and watering them down to a specific point in combination with other chemicals. theres some research to be done but its probably all been done and documented. Not to say anyone can make nutes. But it would be pretty easy with the internet now a days.

The ph perfect line is something different and i still havent seen it ripped off yet. Butthe first one to do it will get my full endorsement, as long as theyre in the BPN price range. Im hoping bpn does it but its probably a bunch of legal bullshit cause AN has money and patents probably.

Yes Gg, the liquid seaweed is very inexpensive and has fantastic ingredients. The explanation you were referring to from another form was the explanation of how seaweed grows so fast in terrible conditions which is from the seaweed being so hormone riched. Here is explanation from BP.

Hormones - In the ocean, seaweed is capable of remarkable feats of rapid growth in extremely unforgiving conditions. Seaweed constantly contends with low levels of light and tides that constantly threaten to pull it out to sea, yet it is able to grow at stunning speeds. One of the main reasons why seaweed is able to do this is because it is packed with numerous special growth hormones. Seaweed can grow faster than anything on land and it do it in poorly lit and extremely cold conditions, thanks to its natural supply of hormones. Liquid Seaweed comes packed with powerful growth hormones that are specifically designed for rapid plant development and allows your plants to enjoy the benefits of these powerful hormones.

Bud Bro: BP still has that small company feel to it. Emails and phone calls are returned in a very timely manner, owner has his hand in the nutes, and they sell direct to the customer. Im hoping it stays this way forever!! Im not sure there is another nute company like it.

Thanks to everybody for comments. Much appreciated. Im new to Dwc after 18 years in soil which was hard to give up but sick of playing in mud and too many patients for it to be logical.

Last few weeks and they are still packing on the weight and dense. Ph and ppms are holding steady and ppms are fairly heavy but pushing flowers to max potential and not hurting ladies. Im definitely sold on Blue Planet and will be using it in future grows. Easy to use, not too many products, lush green growing, hard dense nugs, and probably 1/2 the price of most big name nutrient companies. I did not alter the feeding schedule and kept it to the T with feeding for journal purposes. Definitely pushing the envelope at end of feeding before flush with tips and edges of some leaves are showing signs of nute burn but this is last week of feeding before flush and flowers are packing it on so no need to adjust. Im very excited about the finish and cant wait for next round. Just purchased 2nd dwc system for perpetual grow and will start experimenting with nutes on next round. Sorry about pics. I can only get a third of room in each pic. Very tight in there. The ipad is not the optimal camera for high def pics. I have canon but i have seen some of our members with cameras that have close up of trichs which is far and above what i can do with mine. I think its time to upgrade.
Water temp 65-70
Room temp 75-80
Ppms 1490
Ph 5.5-5.8

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgWas out of town for thanksgiving but came home to a great smelling blueberry in basement that would make anybody's cheeks pucker. I had to pick a small bud and eat it it smelled so good. It didn't quite taste like it smelled, lol. We are in the flush stage with 1-2 weeks to go. This has been a fun journal due to the new Blue Planet nutrients as well as dwc. Blue Planet will definitely be on my shelves in the future as it really worked well for me and it is very reasonable without too much product line. I did not add anything but Blue Planet ingredients due to this journal. Probably wouldnt be a BP journal if i was adding a little of this and a little of that outside the BP line. I had no issues related to BP and wondering why more people dont use the line. Very small company with owners hands in the nutes and water out of his quarry which i heat is unbelievably clean. They also sell a calmag which i will be using next time as i had one plant that was a little sick due to root mass and bound which is a problem i can deal with, he he. Some of the tops are leaning and not in the pics. I have propped up best i could with stakes but will have todo something else next run. This happened at end of cycle when i was gone for thanksgiving and the weight was too much. This week i have lowered temps to 65-70 lights on and 45-55 with lights off. Flowers are pretty much done growing and im trying to draw out the sugar and color. Some of the leafs are clawing just a tad but i will take the trade off. I also cant take a oic of whole room from distance because room is too small. I will be chopping within next week or so. Im excited to taste the blueberry as it smells wonderful. Also, forgive the pics as my ipad is a pos when it comes to pictures in the light. They keep coming out with lines and i have to enhance pics.

Man... those puppies are thick! Nice job! I would have had to eaten a piece as well. Please keep this journal going up until finished product. I'd like to see your harvest and curing methods if you don't mind.

Nice! I emailed Corey the other day, I missed the BPN Thanksgiving sale they had, so was seeing if they were going to have another one for Christmas. He said he's not sure, but said he made a 10% coupon for me and said I can share it with my friends so I thought I'd post it here in case any of you want to use it. I'm about to order my High Yield System. XMASTREEZ10

Cant wait to see the rest of your journal!

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgHi Good, it went very well as shown in pics. I ended up with well over 1 1/2lb of dried meds and will be doing another journal soon. It came out with nice smell, look, and taste. Hope all is well with you. How is your grow going? Also, if you are interested in purchasing anything from BP, use the code CCM10 and you will receive a 10% discount.

If anyone is still around, I'm using the Blue Planet Elite and I'm on day 40 of flower. Have been running @50% strength for several weeks and have recently started to increase strength. No burn or anything but it looks like I could be feeding too much Nitrogen as the leaves are quite dark and somewhat glossy. Should I taper off on the Grow or stick to the schedule?

Slowly scaling up and I'm feeding at 70% at the moment.

Very nice write up! Curious what type of wattage were you running and dimensions you were at to pull off a pound and a half dried?!? Excellent for only 7 plants!

As far as your DWC setup how hard was it to change/clean individual reservoirs when plants are fully grown?? I imagine that would be a pain in the arse! I want to go with dwc but that aspect points me right back at coco pots.
