Blue Venom - Rocklock - Kandy Kush

Well here goes another grow - started about a week and a half ago and seedlings were just moved into 6" pots today - well the Blue Venom has been moved, the Rocklock is about 5 days behind and one of the BV and the Kandy Kush were just planted today...lol

Not much to see yet, but keep stopping by to check things out - the first 4 BV are looking very promising so far! :leaf:

Hey Panda! I'm using a 400w MH light here for veg and will be moving them to a 600w HPS once they're ready to flower (4-6 weeks). My soil is just a simple mixture of HP Promix and some nice plain garden soil from the hardware store. The Promix has perlite in it already so it works great to retain moisture. I germ'd straight in the substrate this time around and skipped the soaking and papertowel methods completely. One of my Rocklock seeds didn't germ, but after looking at it, it was really dark and most likely not viable..one of my Attitude freebies. I haven't decided on what nutes I'll be using this time yet - maybe something new from the hydro shop but I don't know - they won't start getting any food for the first few weeks yet at least. The 600w HPS flowering tent is in my basement and right now these babies are in my spare bathroom upstairs under 24 hr of light.

Thanks - I sure hope so! My last grow has about 2-3 weeks left in it as it's finishing up flowering right now, but it started out with some bad water pH issues...not this time though - got it handled I think! These seedlings are looking really happy so far! I'll get some more pics in a week or two when there's more to see - thanks for looking in!!

Also where did you get your pH tester?
Do you have the home depot one?

Cool man - do you have a link to your journal? I actually use a fish-tank water kit for pH where you take a water sample and add a drip of solution to it to see if it turns the right color to determine pH. Thanks! Good to know... I had a bad one too actually - started with two and just the one germ'd. It's looking like she'd barely surviving right now but we'll see...

Well hopefully you get lucky with her and she grows fine, just thought I'd give you a heads up on the strain from other RIU members.

Mine was growing beautifully until one morning I woke up and saw balls everywhere, it felt like it happened over night. We did manage to finish her outside and I have about 5 grams curing right now. Happy growing :leaf:

Wow, thanks for the heads up! The Rocklock appears to be starting to take off now - noticing it to be a bit bigger each day! The second Rocklock seed was all but forgotton about, actually it spend a day sitting out on the cupboard as I forgot about it between transplanting trips from the kitchen to the grow room! I found it and put it back in the soil 2 days ago just for the hell of it and after checking it again last night, it appears to be germing!!! We'll see what it does - hasn't broke surface yet so we'll see...lol. Check out the latest screenshots showing a diagram of where everything is, even the ones that haven't popped yet. :leaf:

Okay - I know there's not much reason to post more pics yet as there's not a lot to see at this point quite yet - but I took another round of pics just for the hell of it and labeled them all so everyone can see where/what everything is. 3 of them haven't even popped yet, but I fished around in the soil with a toothpick and found that all of the up-coming seeds have germ'd or are starting to germinate!! I just need to keep that soil moist and they should catch up eventually! Even the 2nd Rocklock seed that I'd lost hope in happened to germinate! We'll see if they all break-surface though - time will tell!

Sounds great man!

Latest update on this grow - the 2nd Rocklock that I though was starting to germ turns out to not be...lol...oh well, it would have been a REALLY full flowering room with even the 1 extra. Hopefully the additional BV and the Kandy Kush turn out okay!

Thanks man - just checked out your grow as well - lookin sweet! There's nothing quite like some fresh green straight from your own garden! The seedlings are coming along good so far. I have this thing about 'messing' with my seedlings as they mature - I guess it's a bit of 'paranoia' from losing some in the past due to germination issues. The extra BV and KK seeds have cracked and have a tap-root but I'm just now waiting for them to officially 'sprout' and open their cotyledons. I officially lost the 2nd Rocklock seed - I think Attitude uses a lot of older stock seeds as their 'giveaways' to make room for fresh stock - consequently some of them aren't viable - but that's just my own theory. After reading the extensive section on germination on Mandala's website, I decided to try germing my seeds right in the soil - another first for me - but it really makes sense. What does it mean when my bottom fan leaves are turning brownish at some parts and
turining a light green color on the leaf.

is it the first set of leaves!!! if so they are suppose to die and fall off those arent fan leaves

they are the sprout leaves and once the first set of true fan leafs come out they usually yellow off and die!
