hey stinkmeaner blueberry is a very good strain but there's so many out there you need to be careful where you buy from? also it is a very stinky tasty fruity smoke if grown properly and if you got a good strain of it. Its apparently easy grower but too much nutrients is bad for it, and it can have that freakish blue colour lol, i think thats if your growing soil but iv'e seen hydro blueberry light fluffy and illuminous green and crispy dry the best i have smoked used to get it but now we have some shit blueberry crops these days from people going mad and not growing properly. i'm going to try finding a really good bb strain too. gl with yours

Blueberry strains are different than most strains which also includes crossbreeds. They are sensitive to nutrients and are quite easy to overfeed. I suggest starting at very low amounts and slowly working your way into feeding your babies more. The two easiest way to kill your plant are overfeeding and over watering so be careful brotha. Also, never let the medium dry out too much and this strain will reward you very well. Any other questions let me know brotha one love!!

you also want to consider that true blueberry was created as a breeding strain, so it might not be as stable as hybrids made from it, usually breeders want a higher pheno variety in breeding strains.

I've just ordered some blueberry from Doggies Nuts. I don't really understand the difference between this and other seed banks versions. Are they the same genetics, do the seed banks buy strains from each other in order to produce their own, or do they attempt to replicate the result by crossing its parents.

meaning what?
well, when people talk about true blueberry they are talking about something created by DJ short. He has created a huge number of unique strains, and primarily his work has been done with the intention of creating breeding strains. Most of these he created were not released and were used for his own work, the end result of a lot of this work were strains like blueberry.

However, what breeders look for in a seed and what those who only grow are looking for often are not the same thing. Usually those growing to smoke want a very stable strain with little pheno variance (meaning almost all the plants will behave the same, with the same dominant/recessive traits). Breeders want to cross a strain with another, and get a wide variety of characteristics from which they can choose the next generation from. This is why top notch breeders will oftentimes use different breeding systems/parents for fem and reg versions of the same strain (the assumption is that fem seeds are used by those looking to only produce bud, and reg are used by those looking to collect pollen and do some breeding).

Anyway, by saying a strain is less stable it means that the phenotype variations in the offspring can be great. A more stable strain would be one where the majority of the offspring are of the same phenotype. Breeding gets very complicated, and I'm by no means an expert, but those are the basics behind the difference between breeding strains and commercial strains.

Great strain, at least the original Cup winning genetics are, but anything with Blueberry in it is nute sensitive and one that is fairly easy to get yourself into trouble with. But if you can do it, it's well worth doing though.

True blueberry by DJ short should be instantly recognizable. It smells like a dozen blueberry muffins and is a fantastic med for sleep n pain I absolutely love that strain and I want it to be part of my garden some day for sure. It's 15 a gram at this one club so it's hardly worth it when I pay 5 a g but occasionally I indulge.
