So which one is a preferred brand ?

Bluelab Ph pens are good pens. They work fine and give accurate readings. They may stop working if not taken care of properly just like any other piece of equipment. I've had numerous Ph pens over the years and the Bluelab is one of the best built, highest quality pens I've owned. Nothing but good things to say about it.
