Bluelab ph pen??

I bought the bluelab ph pen and I got the calibration solution and ph up/down but it says before use to hydrate in Kci storage solution before use does this have to be done? Or can you use something else? Please help

U can go straight water if u dnt have the soulution I used water and my pen still works excellent had it for 3 years but I do use a storadge.soulution in the cap when put up ..go buy a bottle its cheap and u will have it for awhile and ur pen will thank u ....but u made a good choice blue labs is excellent product and customer service only reason I dnt use the pen anymore bout a diffrent blue labs

you're good to go, just don't store it in distilled or filtered water.

Ight thanks for the replies guys hopefully my plants start looking better soon, I got the Ph to the ideal 6.5 and added CaliMagic from general hydroponics

be careful with the calimagic, it's super concentrated. 1 ml (no more than 2 ml for cal/mag deficiency) per gallon should be all you need.
