I'm using an Arduino as well as a raspberry pi. I'm currently monitoring CO2 levels, heat and humidity (in grow room, mom room and outside), soil moisture (for mother plant), checking for smoke and water leaks, and can watch all device statuses and can view it all in near-real time via a web browser. Cheap and effective.

Thanks for the article link, I'll check these out. I don't know much about Ardunio, or about building my own equipment but this sounds super interesting, I'd love to hear more about your set up and what's required to build some of these. Does it take a rocket scientist to do it?

I'm also open to hear people's thoughts on things like Bluetooth surge protectors or already available products like this,

Not a whole lot of info on this product though. The description seems to be kind of what I'm looking for, but there are no release dates, prices, or pictures really. I tried to sign up for email updates, but it would not accept that. I bookmarked it though and will keep my eye on it.

Thanks!

Basically an Arduino is an "easy to use" (depending on skill level) micro-controller that you can make do practically anything with some simple programming and electronic skills. I purchase sensors and program my Arduino to react to the environment/time. It controls the water pumps, fans, lights, ph balance, nutrients, etc and sends the data to a MySQL database on a raspberry pi. On the pi, all the info is displayed on a website I can access from anywhere. I can also make changes to any schedule or control any device from the website. All the data is logged every minute so I can go back and look for problems/patterns. If anyone wants to know more let me know.

That's strange, it worked for me. Try messaging them, or reaching out on Instagram, Facebook or somewhere else where they have a presence, they are a helpful bunch. I am doing some beta testing for them, and really like what I see. I am waiting for the release of the final product, shouldn't be long now :)

Pulse Labs here!

Sorry to hear your having an issue with the email signup, if you could shoot us an email [email protected] -- we'll make sure you are added to the list. As sixixix mentioned, we have been testing the Pulse platform globally for over 9 months and we've been able to create a great experience that will be available to anyone by the end of the year.

We've got a ton of stuff going on including a site redesign so pardon our dust!

The Pulse Nano is an simple, affordable insurance policy for your grow that doesn't require you to change your existing setup and gives you peace of mind while you are away from the garden. It helps us (and our beta testers) sleep at night and we have found the visualization of historical data extremely valuable when dialing in your environment.

Me, I want to know more! I couldn't figure out how to send you a PM/DM. Been looking for a solution that allows me to connect all my fixtures to a central controller and record sensor data as you mentioned.
