bomb taste but nasty smell?

i recently trimmed some of the bottom buds off my plant that werent going to produce much so the bigger ones will produce more. i dried the buds but they smell nasty, kinda like hay but when u smoke it, it tastes good. the strain was skunk #1 but theres no way it smells like skunk. is it just because it was prematurely picked? or did i dry the small buds 2 quick? what is the best way to dry really small buds that u cant hang to dry?

i belive its from being immature and the way you cured it ??

did you rush dry the buds ?? and not put em in a jar?

hang your buds in a card bored box to dry and then jar them. ( opening the jar daily so they can get fresh air )

Sorry for being off topic bro, but im growing some skunk#1 as well, and curious to see some pix as what the buds might look like! got a journal?:hump:
