Ok, so I will be posting a lot of pics to catch up to where I am now in the grow. (Week 5 flower) so the grow was initially two in soil three in DWC. As you you will see I hit a few snags. 4’x4’x7’ grow room, 600 watt HID, 3 plants platinum OG, 1 plant Forbidden zkittles, 1 plant snowball. I had been vegging and training the FB and the SB for about a month when I dropped the beans for the three platinum fems. I also had a skywalker in the cup, but it didn’t grow well and I cut it. Once the platinums were ready, I transplanted them to my diy DWC. I bought the fancy pump and several stones and net pots and cut those horses loose. Meanwhile you will begin to notice that went a little bit crazy pruning with the FZ and SB. The SB paid for it, as you will see later. 8ECE44E6-937F-4C42-9C88-9E55144C4366.jpeg

A week and a half later the roots hit the water and the platinums exploded. Temps were becoming a problem in the Rez, and don’t hate on my ghetto ass insulation/light proofing job.DFCF3AB2-59A0-4442-AE21-B038C1170B8E.jpeg49E2FF25-F07E-4600-B311-7225C84466FE.jpeg155A083C-B6CC-4370-BC0E-9E200A6AE6E7.jpegCCF966B5-F140-4EBD-978D-79266A6F8DAA.jpeg

After another week of explosive growth in the DWC, I topped and mainlined them. I had a little issue with nats and used mosquitoe bites and insecticidal soap, plus sticky traps. I ended up drying out the soil well later and that ended them. I continued pruning the SB and the FZ, and using the Kushman twisting method and LST and bending.5C46E1D7-6890-485B-B539-6AEFF53FF834.jpeg0C76E0BF-96CA-4DD0-B7AB-23C500A4C589.jpeg33ECC5DC-5E6D-4FCA-9A36-6804D3A465BA.jpeg3BD18FCF-689C-48DC-A847-1BC196720B27.jpeg

It was around this time that the Rez developed major issues. Root rot hit one plant pretty hard, and was beginning to effect the other two. After much research, I decided that organic nutes in DWC was a big NO NO, especially with heat issues. I had already tried beneficials in the Rez and a change of solution. After more research I then decided to attempt a transplant to coco. I washed the roots very well in tap water, cut all the soft roots off, and transplanted the platinums net pots and all.CEB46257-9118-40BA-BEBC-38F52488968C.jpegCE931534-3D21-4902-A90D-18DE22B58E08.jpeg

I Went out of town and left a family member in charge of watering. They forgot to water for five days, luckily I had watered them before I left. It seems to have killed the root rot, and they actually grew a good amount in that time. After a good watering they bounced back fast. At this point the leaves started to lighten on the two soil plants. I also flipped to flower at this time.5FDFF3DA-BD37-49E6-B0D2-8DE0773B79AA.jpegFED525BB-7F9F-4545-B9CA-2C33E7AA7BEB.jpeg

A week into flower and the girls begin their stretch. The platinum with the worst root rot issue ended up stretching a lot. The SB seemed to not like being topped, plus I began to suspect ph issues with her and the FZ. E2C1931B-A994-4DAB-97AC-9D4B0C2CD0FF.jpeg2626DC10-6ED9-4627-8D08-EB90665FE036.jpeg

Week two of flower. I confirmed thenph issue causing the nute lockout by testing the runoff ph. I applied ammonium sulfate 1 teaspoon to both the FZ and SB and lowered nutes ph to drop the soils ph. the growth spurt was in high gear. Flowers starting to bloom.CD1F45C9-3333-4CC8-862E-BE96ED9E3E81.jpeg

Week three saw green returning to the SB and FZ in the soil. Second application of 1/2 teaspoon of ammonium sulfate to them. Stretch ending, flowers growing.B1571456-503C-420D-B849-D7BF759DEFB5.jpeg91EB470A-8242-4937-AF77-9D8EA7EB6BF3.jpeg

Week four flower saw the flowers really beginning to grow. I really like the way the platinums responded to the topping and mainlining. I will be using this method in the future. More greening up for the soilFB937447-4C5B-4BD1-A79E-6D68FD7E21F3.jpeg plants. Keep nute ph at 6 for both the soil and coco to keep the ph down in the soil. Increasing nutes. The SB (back right) 8FA1EF07-2F0F-4754-AE8C-9FDADC84A8A7.jpegC0A5627D-79BF-4D37-B0A5-01AC126D85F3.jpegdidn’t stretch much, she is a little bush, the worst root rot victim grew super stretchy. Two days before flowering week fives end, I have decided to tie down more of the FZ plant as the colas that grew the tallest are close together. I spread them out and down to increase lights on lower buds. I like the way it looks fanned out on the wall. 247EDA4F-9FD6-49EA-A6AD-02CF81446ADF.jpeg8E065BF6-1C24-4609-AF19-930686E29EFA.jpegB6339333-C256-4D2E-B962-EDABB97E0603.jpegDFDA6DD1-9739-4CAC-98C2-271227B2CAC0.jpeg6EF6CA1A-1F33-4205-ADA1-18ACB85EA698.jpeg3557F0F7-CB48-401E-BBB7-E49768932843.jpegimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Week six since flip. All plants now showing slight nuts burn. I realized I should have been checking runoff ph/ec earlier the grow. It will definitely effect end yield on the snowball and forbidden skittlez(which now has a large portion of its leaves turning light green). Runoff ec was close to 2k for the FS.EDFF5BD9-9EDC-4FF3-B46A-ACDBAC6A8E77.jpeg 75C2CF0E-858F-480B-8BB0-4817937D45A9.jpeg2129276E-AB08-4076-9FEA-4D4A8FE81212.jpeg2E9E2E1C-00F1-4463-83CE-EC49A1D45DF2.jpegAAF377B4-154D-460B-B201-82FB53EEEBB6.jpeg1064C7AC-49E7-48D6-A7EE-E16BA8B687F2.jpeg0BCA08D8-7BB4-4C21-BA79-A78E35739313.jpeg4CADF002-F02F-4250-96C4-337A189ED0D9.jpegThe buds are still connecting, seems the growth overall has slowed a bit since last week, or maybe that’s just because I look at them every day. I am going to try alternating plain ph’d water and lower ec nute solutions and see how that goes. The smell is starting to kick in really good too.

Week 7 1/2 update. Been giving more plain ph’d water each feeding. Gave them a very light bite dose (organic nutes). Checked trichromes and looking like the Amber is starting to pop up. Going for more head buzz and since it is higher ratio of Indica, I will most likely be harvesting in a week. Hoping for on oz per plant, so a total harvest goal of 5oz. We shall see.
