@Yokel - Im going to take a trip to the grow store tomorrow since they are open only on weekdays and very short hours. I need more bloom food. should i continue with what i have, or switch to the botanicare soil bloom version? or best not to change half way thru and wait for next round?? I did notice the soil vs hydro has some different nutes #s.

For 15ml Bloom, 4ml CalMag, and 2 teaspoons molasses... it takes 3.5-4ml of Botanicare pH up to get between 6.2-7.0. It's never exact and I don't try to be. For 20ml Bloom it's about 4-4.5ml pH up.

I don't think it would cause any huge differences... the only major difference I believe is that the hydro formula adds extra nitrogen to compensate for the nitrogen found in most soil mediums. It's all derived from the same stuff.

I run the expert line for coco regarding the entire kind series in my 5,000 square foot grow. Just like with anything else, I have learned by trial and error on how to dial in each strain with the feeding schedule. It is bio-synthetic and easily adjustable with the kind base (comprised of calcium and nitrogen). I have personally seen other botanicare grows where the grower fed at full strength with the provided botanicare feed charts online and only flushed once before flipping into flower with amazing results. For my cost margin versus production, I keep my ppm's for feeding right around where my co2 concentration is depending on the stage of growth. There pure blend tea is the jam and I have seen great results with the whole entire line. Just my two cents but keep your ears open to other experiences!

With all other nutes 5ml will drop it .2 now its all over the board but I'll know more when I get home.

Most new strains I start out feeding every other watering and go up from there as they need it. After the third or fourth week of flower I might feed every watering, but that's only if I know the strain can take it. Easier to feed more than to un-feed.

And always water your plants enough to get a *good* run-off from the bottom of the pot/bag. Always.

Some strains, like some OGs, just don't feed very much, and can be easy to over-nute. If your plants are doing fine being fed every watering, then there's no harm other than the money in nutes if the plants aren't using it all.

Also, I grow in Happy Frog... and I literally never flush. Ever. Even when ripening off the last 2 weeks, I just cut down to 50% the 2nd to last week, and then pure water the last week. No way in hell I'm wasting 15 gallons of water on every 5 gallon pot, lol.

My buddy said he does this, only cutting nutes down for the flush.. How does the final product come out doing this? Have you flushed and done that? Did you notice a difference?

I used to love this lineup but I just heard they sold out to monistato

I'm guessing you meant to say Monsanto not monistato

I'm not sure if Monsanto did buy Botanicare, but if you are going to boycott their products/companies, here's the tip of the iceberg of some of the other companies you ought to consider to boycott, as these are also owned by Monsanto
