Bottom leaves yellowing/browning and creeping upward to next leaves.

Ok, so early on I had an issue where my lower leaves would turn light green, then yellow, then pale yellow, then just die. Then the same thing would start to happen to the next set of leaves up. So I decided it was time to feed them. Well the corruption stopped on all of them for a while. Except for one, who was the worse off initially, I cut her dead leaves, and she was looking good. But then recently The next set of leaves up has gone horridly pale and is dying in the same fashion. The other babies are just fine I haven't had to remove any leaves and the dying stopped. But this one, even after feeding in the soil and the leaves, the leaves seem to die more each day. I've heard this is maybe calcium/mag def? I think this may be the correct diagnosis because my plant food has no cal or mag in it at all.... Any cheap ways I can add cal/mag without going to buy stuff? I heard crushed egg shells cleaned really well is good for cal? Any thoughts or ways to add mag? I would post pictures but it's really redundant. Pretty easy to imagine what's going on I believe it's a common issue

It's never redundant to post pictures. Most primary nutrient deficiencies start lower on the plant, most micro nutrient deficiencies start in new growth, so...is yellowing starting at the tips? At the margins? interveinously? Are you in soil or hydro? what type of nutrients? I know you see these questions all the time on other people's posts, however it's information needed because everyone's grow is different.

True true thanks for wanting to help. Yeah I've been having nutrition problems all along. Let me take some pictures and post them. They are starting with yellow spots kinda and then the leaves just completely lose color and turn pale, then start to die at the tips. I'm using plain hyponex soil with perlite, and feeding them MG plant food. 2 of the 3 are looking healthy, but this one is not so much. Taking pics now

Ok here are the pics, in two of them you can see the leaves started to yellow/die but as soon as I fed them they stopped. The other one had the worst of it, so I had to clip her leaves at the bottom. Now about a week later, she's still growing, as are the others, but her leaves are continuing to turn yellow and die, while the others haven't.

Bro what is that stuff they are growing in? volcano ash? The spots are a sign of disease so if it progresses higher the plant is in trouble. Root system issue.

Lol the soil is just dry because they needa be watered it's a little low on perlite too, but if this is disease... How come when it happened to the other ones it stopped after I fed them but this one continued to worsen? I'm going to flush it I guess and they are getting repotted tomorrow. Is there any way to stop it if it is a disease? I don't wanna clip all it's leaves off but if that's what's gonna save it...

And also, it didn't stop spreading after I clipped off the bad leaves. The other two are doing great and this was the biggest one. I wanna save her but don't really know what to do...

hello, how much are you feeding them? With something like that, you would want to feed them at 1/4 to 1/2 of whatever the package says. I would start closer to 1/4 strength because the NPK ratio for that particular brand 24-8-16. And from the twisting of the leaf in picture #1 looks like over fertilization like cues mentioned. I personally wouldn't use MG as a nute source just because they only want you to feed every 7-14 days. I like to feed 2 twice a week with a weaker solution. You really have to be careful feeding when they are still that small in the tiny pots because it's really easy to over do. I personally like to use soil that will feed the plant for a couple of weeks so I only have to use plain water. The when I transplant into a bigger pot with fresh soil I continue to use plain water for a week, and then I start a program.

I've been feeding 1/2 strength. They were ok. I'm going to flush and start feeding them 1/4 strength.

Put a small fan blowing on your pots get them dry asap.... Don't use MG its not for cannabis and very hard to flush out of final stages of growth...

For one thing.....Go grab that MG fert, and then go stand by a trashcan......THEN THROW THAT STUFF AWAY!!!! Like the above poster said MG is not for cannabis plants

I know :( It's all I've had on hand, it's been a very low budget grow experiment for my first time. I'll have to look into getting more, or getting an organic fertilizer with a good rating.

I've let them all dry out very dry. I fed the 2 with regular water, and flushed the other one. Gonna let them sit and see how they react. Hopefully she responds, I'm a little hesitant because this was kind of happening before I fed them. It stopped on the two but she just got worse. I'm repotting them as soon as they dry out tomorrow maybe that will help too. The cups are a little small for them right now I think.

I flushed her she wasnt looking much better this morning half of one of her big leaves died so i clipped it off the rest is still pale yellow and the next node up is starting to yellow at the tips more and is getting more of these black necrotic spots... it doesnt look too much worse when i went to bed but still hopefully it stops but any more suggestions?

Is buds right that its a disease or root issue because the other two are ok..
