go 12/12. cannabis flowers when the flowering hormone reaches a level high enough to trigger flowering. the flowering hormone is always being made by the plant and is broken down by light. so the longer the dark period the higher the level gets. However, it only triggers flowering. So while you can raise the level higher by giving more dark it doesnt help anything and your plant just misses out on what should of been the first 12 hr light period of flowering.

Going directly from a vegetative light cycle into 12/12 is fine. Just remember wait 3-7 days after switching into 12/12 before you start keeping track of days flowering, the plant is in a transition cycle at this point. When you seeing a lot of pistols forming / bud spots, that's when you should begin tracking days flowering.

any other advice?
Always carry an extra pair of underwear in case you have an accident.

But back to the grow... I guess you realize those girls are going to be freaking monsters by the time they finish. I'm guessing they will hit close to 7' tall.

If height is a problem you might want to keep them in the smaller pots. If you want to max out, then upcan them to the 5 gallon.

If they are 3-footers they surely started showing sex weeks ago. Why are you letting them go so long?

I heard if they get rootbound towards the end of flowering they will stop growing branches and focus on flowering? True or false?
