Boveda 58 or 62 for curing

I've just trimmed my first 2 plants last night and stored them in jars after drying on hangers for a week. I have mini thermometers that I put in the jars, so i checked in the morning and humidity is at 57%.
So regarding Boveda, I read that the perfect humidity for curing is 60-65%, but since I'm starting at 57%, I wonder if I should bring humidity back up this early in the curing phase? Should i go with a 58 instead or stick to 62, which seems to be the standard?
I also read that it depends on preference, but what's best to do in my case specifically with me starting at 57%?

If you live in a dryer area you may prefer the 62%, but I live in a humid area and would guess I would prefer the 58% if I used Boveda packs again. I didn't really like the 62% in my neck of the woods and I don't know if it would actually be better and a dryer area. I haven't used them in a place that has consistently dry air

I don't have the answer.
But you did not start at 57%.
You overdid the drying when they were hanging on the hangers.
Next time perhaps also check the humidity where you hang them.

I live in LA. A little closer to the water than inland... current room humidity is 62%

Perfect for curing then.

I actually did. I had them hanging in my tent with my inline fan on. Couldn't get humidity down from 67% the first couple of days, after a week (7 days), it's down to 60. Read that it should be in the 50s for the week of drying, so I was actually worried that it was too wet in there...

I don't know. As I understand most people like 62%.
But I have no clue what tastes better. I don't smoke.

As long as it does not stay too wet it is ok, I think.
But there are many topics about drying and curing.

Most of the posts about drying and curing state dry room humidity in the 50s. Either way, mine were higher than that anyway

Anything below 58RH, myrcene terpenes begin to go bye bye fast, they will evaporate way, and if the heat in the drying room goes above 68F they will also go bye bye, but even faster, so because of that the best drying temperature, and humidity is 64F/64RH, two points above the best target 62RH to store at, that way when you jar your stuff up in 10 to 12 days, you will still be 2-4 RH above the storage target of 62RH, which will come inline as you burp your jars for 10 to 14 days after they have been finally jarred. Yeah, you definitely don't want to lose those myrcene terpenes, and you will if any of your drying buds drift below 58RH or the drying rooms temperature goes above 68F! And you don't need Boveda packs if you jar your weed properly. I mean they were made for humidors, that are actually made to breath, unlike sealed jars that don't!

I use 62. Once it stays pretty consistent between 60-62, I remove packs and store.

62 works for me, also in socal.
Maybe look at These Boost paks, a little cheaper & work as well

Get Integra Boost packs and toss the Boveda. The Boveda packs will suck up your terpenes where the Integra Boost packs do not.

I guess I should have mentioned that in my previous post. I don’t use boveda either, strictly integra for me.

I noticed integra doesn’t dry out as fast as the boveda. And integra comes with this cool little indicator that tells you when you it’s time to switch the pack out for a new one.

I’ve never had an Integra dry out. If anything I tossed one because it was getting overly creased from being old and I didn’t want it to rip.

Can't you re-use them?
Like getting them back to 'normal' again after you used them?

Yes you can reuse them for years. That was the point I was making. Ive had some so long that the paper starts to fail before the fill material ever starts to dry out
