Boy & Girl

Hi,
First time grower here :)

I wonder if someone could confirm what I'm thinking about these two plants.

That is, one is a boy & one is a girl. The plants are (I think) only about 8 weeks old, so I'm surprised it's possible to tell so early.

The one with the red circles is the girl, right? Sorry it's not a better shot - I couldn't get the camera to focus...

Any thoughts?

Thanks :)

Left is 100% male. Female will show little white hairs before flowering. If you don't see any then wait. If you see ball shaped things with no hairs, it's male.

Yes sorry buddy its a male. Balls equals male, the other one we can wait a few more weeks until she shows sex signs of female or hermie or male.

Peace.

Thanks guys.
I've seen people say throw males away - but I recall smoking the leaves many years ago and they seemed fine.
Or are the mists of time confusing me?

What's the story on hermies then? Can anything be done with them?

Males produce very little usable THC.

Hermies can be isolated if you want to avoid pollinating pure females, otherwise there isn't much you can do. If it's just a ball or two you can try plucking them and hope for the best.

Make brownies or somethin hash? Smokin leaves is gross :P. Try to get a clearer pic of what you circled in that second pic, it looks like your camera was focusing on the leaves behind it.

Hello again :)
A little while down the road and here is the surviving young lady....

She's not all that big but she had a very rough start to life.
(British window daylight - overfed until on the point of death - cold spell while outside etc. etc.)

Now she's up in the attic getting 18/6 with a reasonable amount of feeding.

I guess she is just about 4 months old (?)

Could anyone suggest a course of action? Should I switch to 12/12?
Or continue to let her grow?

I'm not sure how warm the attic is going to be in the new couple of months, so any advice would be much appreciated :)

Thanks guys :)
