I am considering organics, but truly dont know where to begin gathering information. Are there any good "how to books, videos, or websites?

Imo some of the best organic (not necessarily certified organic) ferts include Fish Emulsion/Hydrolyzed Fish, Bat & Seabird Guanos, Worm Castings, certain types of Ash for Potassium, Kelp & Seaweed ferts, Bone Meal and Blood Meal. There are also a variety of organic soil additives with little to no nutrient value. As far as applying the ferts goes, some dissolve easily in water and others need to be either added to the soil mix or made into teas. There are a few threads on tea making and other info at other sites that you can find searching google. There was one in this forum last week. How much of each to put in a soil mix depends on the strain, plant & pot size, light levels, fertilization frequency and alot of personal preference.

Good Luck
