It makes sense to me given that the issue is federal, not provincial or municipal. But seriously, couldn't these resources have gone into providing PUPL and DPPL holders with the inspections that should have been going on?

My wife got hit with a random stop a few weeks ago driving my vehicle. Local police just stopped the vehicle to make sure it was insured and she had her license on her. Coincidence that this stuff is now happening makes me wonder if back in February they already had my info. Probably unrelated but still makes me think

Class action update:

"The Plaintiffs’ motion to certify the matter as a class action was filed on October 24, 2014. The motion seeks permission from the Federal Court for the matter to proceed as a class action and appoint certain representative plaintiffs. The Federal Government is required to file its responding materials by December 23, 2014. The Plaintiffs’ written argument will be required to be filed on March 20, 2015 and the Federal Government’s on April 19, 2015. We anticipate the certification motion will be heard by the Federal Court in May 2015. Click here to review the Plaintiff’s Motion seeking Certification and the supporting Affidavit of D. Robins."

I wonder if this would pass the snopes test. It smells a little fishy.
my wife & I got pulled over because I was driving & the car was registered in her name. we were leaving a bar so i guess he was fishing for a reason but since I don't drink, they had nothing. wife was sitting next to me so again they had nothing so he let us go. i asked a cop friend & she said that does happen & it was a good stop
